With the factory axlebacks, do you experience any drone on the highway? It would be great to have more sound around town and for spirited driving, not to mention tone improvement, but as much road tripping as I do, I don't want to lose the effect of quiet mode when I want to cruise quietly.
.

You’ll achieve exactly what you want.

I don't daily it anymore, but when I'm on the freeway I like to put back into normal and quiet the drone.

Nothing is like the drone on my kid's F-150 5.4L with an Extreme FX turn down flowmaster.
Like I said, there is almost no difference in sound between normal, sport, and track modes with the Steeda h-pipe. They sound all pretty much the same. Which too me negates the fun of having active exhaust. But If you keep it under 3k, you won't have drone in any mode while cruising.

I do feel quite a difference between modes!

I dont have any annoying drone. Not unless I was driving at 3500 rpms constantly. But I'm pretty noise tolerant coming from a cam & headers LS2 GTO.

And as Steeda said ... the clamps that we provided with the original kits are more than durable enough - yes, you have the option to purchase updated clamps, but the clamps that are provided are good.

Been running the H-Pipe on my Mustang for 4-years with the original clamps & 0 issues.
Just saw this thread...clamps that came with the H for my Bullitt both leak. I've tried to adjust multiple times with no luck. I've had it over 3 years. Didn't know Steeda came out with better clamps!

I got the upgraded clamps from Steeda 0 issues after over a year. I recommend the upgrade, No need to weld.

Regarding the noise, Its actually pretty loud I would not want it any louder, well I am in California even stock I got a warning for noise.

I just did the Borla Switch fire. It's amazing. Like an H pipe and X pipe had a baby. Opened it up just enough for me. Gonna get a cold start video in the morning. It's supposed to be in the 20's tonight so it will be a true cold start.

I was looking for something to spend money on so made the jump and bought a steeda h pipe and the upgraded clamps just now. Was 186 and change with their black friday sale.

Install wont happen until spring next year, car is hibernating right now.

Installed mine on Friday and then took a 250 mile road trip this weekend. Finnish quality of the Steeda H-pipe is impeccable. The sound quality is nearly identical to stock with slightly more burble. Sound volume?... a little bit louder; although I'm kinda disappointed because I expected it to be more aggressive. My impression is that its not a drastic change; but definitely still a few notches louder. Kinda wondering if I would have preferred the X-pipe instead? IDK. All that said though it was worth the money and I have no regrets.
I have the resonator delete kit on the Mach and also my old Roush stang, love it. But make sure when buying any exhaust item from steeda that requires CLAMPS, get the UPGRADED CLAMPS, (VIBRANT). Because there freebie clamps are complete junk.. Once you remove them to make a tail pipe adjustment or do anything, they will not retighten like new. Take it from me lol

I used the clamps in the box. Was actually thinking about waiting a bit, trying the X, then selling whichever. Will be a while before I can cough up another $300 though. I have the feeling that H is still gonna be my answer.
Me too. I think you may find the x pipe to be trumpet like and raspy compared to the h
