Grow a pair, man up and drive a “REAL” Mustang . Hint. Something with a 5.0 stock or modified .
You mean those flaccid motors Ford has shamefully been putting in their cars for the last 30 years prior to 2012?

Some of us don't need to use badges or ineffectual displacement, or a handful of enzite to compensate when a little turbo 4 can spank all comers.

Ps did you drink too much of that Flint Michigan public water?

Can you believe? I mean CAN YOU BELIEVE... That there are some people who actually buy Ecoboost Mustangs because they love Mustangs AND are really intrigued by small, but powerful, turbocharged 4-cylinder engines?? 🤷‍♂️ I'm on my third mustang and I've never needed a V8 (apologies to those who do). So weird! Right?

PS - The '87 (non-turbo) 4-cyl w/ 90 HP and auto trans was a D O G, no doubt. I'll take my EB, thank you! Best handling, most powerful car I've owned. Fun to mod, too.

This is one of the dumbest thread titles I’ve ever seen. Grow a pair, man up and drive a “REAL” Mustang . Hint. Something with a 5.0 stock or modified . Otherwise, just buy a Prius and save your $$$
Hmm. So those straight-6 Mustang’s that rolled off the line 60 years ago weren’t real? Wonder what those people looked like driving not real cars?

I love my V8 no doubt, but I had a V6 S550 before it and it was a fun car. Lighter than my GT and pretty quick too. Seen plenty of boosted V6’s make some V8’s look real bad too. Do they sound the greatest? No they don’t, that’s why I never did an exhaust mod to that car. But, like the Eco, they are fun cars and plenty quick. And they’re real Mustangs too.

May God have mercy on your soul.
And traction control set to slippery couldn't get the power down even w 87 on Conti All Season 255-40-19 it was always kicking in driving like I drive HPP that gets 90-100% of power down w no nanny intervention at all 0-60.

Haha I wanted a stealth four seat convertible with nice interior design and great seats that was not ostentatious or obnoxious. That left me with BMW 8, Mercedes SL, Maserati, and massive British brutes....all way to ostentatious for my pick up driving ecosystem.

I get so many complements: 6 yrs old - 90. Just today a 20 yr old crop topped baggy jeans hottie threw me a complement walking across the street in front of me .... I did not want to be noticed....it's totally the opposite grrrr.

Says the guy with the most canned, generic build of all time. Ohhhh, camber bolts. That's really something worth mentioning. How many days did that install take?

So we'll be expecting you to show us your Shelby when?

You can build a bullet proof eco motor using a closed deck block that will spank most V8 mustangs even with a blower and still have less in it than the boosted V8 mustang. It will handle better as well since it's still going to be lighter.

Right now the fastest eco stang is running low 7 seconds quarters at mid 160s and its knocking on high 6 second quarters. Over 700 HP and 800 TQ from less than half the displacement of the 5.0 coyote.

I'm pretty sure he'll show us that right after he shows us his new GTD. Coyotes sound like shit. I can't drive a car unless it's a VooDoo or has a blower or something...

There's always a more expensive car to buy. The idea of the guys buying literally the cheapest performance car on the planet arguing about the difference in what is a rounding error in cost for a genuinely expensive car is laughable. FFS, get over yourself. There isn't a standard Mustang made that is anything even close to 'special'.

Jessie is over 1000 HP, now and the new engine is on sequential turbos, which should be another jump.

Exactly. That's one of the things I love about this car. Everyone has either had one or known someone who did. It's very accessible and has a huge community. Drawing an arbitrary line at who has the "real" one is beyond ridiculous.

It's been a while since I followed his progress, so he is making leaps and bounds with our little 4 bangers indeed. I bet he's in the 6s now then with that level of power. Lots of coyotes watching his taillights now for sure. 😁

He's not 6's. I know he's run 8.5's. Not that it really matters, but If he were to do the same work on a Coyote, he would have more power. That's just not his thing.

The most disappointing thing about owning an Ecoboost Mustang is all of the V8 snobbery you encounter from the ones who can't seem to remember that we're all driving a glorified "secretary's car".
The S550 is a great car in whatever configuration. But, bottom line, it's just an inexpensive production car made in the millions. If the V8 somehow defines you, well, that's just kinda sad.
