i don't work in a good neighborhood :(

the thing about sugar is that it dosen't always kill the engine right away. it has to work its way through the fuel system as you drive off. after that it's tow truck time to the mechanic to drain the tank and flush the fuel system out.
same here... anyway does anyone know if the 2014 models fuel plug will fit with the 2015 mustang? the website said its not compatible but it looks pretty similar in picture to the 15.

Y'all are just paranoid people. Ford's easy fuel system is the greatest thing I've used. I've missed it so much while having to use a temp car till my new Mustang arrives. Don't ever remember the fuel cap days with any nostalgia. So simple, pop the cover, and fuel, and when you're done pull it out and close the cover. So simple and fast.

I'm more worried about parking lot door dings or jerks who key your paint--or the morning we got up and my wifes 05 Vert was egged. If all someone wants to do is take my gas as long as my car isn't damaged-what can you do? Same as someone breaking in your house--take the TV but don't hurt the cats or shit on the rug.

With all the public eyeballs on Mustangs (including our own selves staring at the car in parking lots at times), cheap gas, alarm system...Not too worried.

I would think (even though one must never assume the mind of criminal) there are other cars to target with less risk of getting caught. Granted if someone is out to get you because of whatever reason, than I see the point but that's a different issue and turns into a karma/spite/revenge sort of issue...

I'm more concerned of door dings and drunk drivers.

Plenty of knuckle heads and thieves in the world.
I love living in the country!! So glad I don't live in the city anymore.
I don't give warning shots. Ammo price is only going up.

I was wondering the whole time about the gas cap-less thing with the Mustang. We have it on the Jeep too. But you can't open the little door if you not push the release button on the dash board.
This is one of the 1st things I will change if there is a aftermarket solution out. Period!

I don't park in places where someone might siphon fuel. Besides, gas is way under $3/gallon and Mustangs have small tanks. Maybe I would worry if I parked my F250 (32 gallon tank) in a bad neighborhood.

Umm buy car insurance that's worth a damn? Gas is relatively cheap, and if they put something in the tank, you're probably covered...

My little cheap Toyota commuter has a remote fill door release. At first, I was ticked off with the Mustang's touch and open door. But then my wife reminded me of the time I forgot to completely twist-lock the gas cap. After a couple of blocks, the 'check engine' light comes on. Luckily, I have a ScanGauge permanently mounted in the Toyota. I keep a copy of the engine error codes in the car. The error code chart says that there is something wrong with the fuel line, plus a comment "check gas cap". Sure enough...loose cap, problem solved. Taking the car to the dealership...minimum $100 shop charge. One less 'check engine' problem with the push-close Mustang fuel door.

were not simply talking about gas theft, we're also talking about people who will try to tamper with your car...

yeah, pop the cover, insert a tube, fill that tank up with stuff you dont want in your car, pull it out, and close the cover. very simple and fast for messing with your car right?
