Why do I only get 7200 rpm instead of 7500?

An issue I can't figure out with my 22 Mach 1 is that the rev limit is at 7,200. That's how it's displayed in every mode and I've tested it and that's where the limiter is at. The 2018+ are supposed to rev to 7500. Even doing the power pack 3 on the gen 2's with Ford Procal will set the rpm to 7500. This car is out of GA. So does anyone have any idea how I access my missing 300 rpms?

There are no shift points in a manual, that's only for automatics. The shiftpoints are determined by your hand not the computer.

What you might see is the shift warning light that you can adjust to come on and give you an audible warning when you should be shifting. You can change that up or down based on personal preference.

Yes, I'm hitting the limiter at 7,200. Whereas my friend's 2018 GT hits the limiter at 7,500.

Is that shift point or rev limiter setting? It may go beyond 7200 but the shift light comes on at 7200. It appears to be little up and down arrows on the shift light. Can you scroll to the shift point indicator and raise or lower it?

Yea, click the top arrow and see if it raises.

Stock car with 3K miles. Both the shift point and rev limit are at 7,200. It's kind of confusing.

7500 rpm comes pretty quick after 7200rpm. I’d be willing to bet you are hitting the limiter at 7500rpm, getting into fuel/spark cut, rpm’s drop, you look down and see 7200

either that or your wife setup the mykey at 7200rpms to keep you from blowing your engine lol

I was researching this topic a few days ago. I can offer some threads of similar experiences, but I cannot confirm why things are the way they are.

The following discuss engine fuel cutoff and that it might be programmed or engineered to occur at 7200 in MT cars, 7500 in AT cars.

My current thought is the fuel cutoff is programmed at a lower RPM in MT cars to help prevent damage in-case of missed shift, bad shift or something of the sort.

I just looked at some video from my 22 M1, redline starts at 7200 RPM, also a manual. Guessing it’s to give time to shift to avoid hitting the rev limiter, which I can confirm comes fast at that RPM as I have banged against it once or twice.

The last 300 RPM is kind of a moot point, as peak HP hits at 7k then levels off before falling.
