That’s your cat (catalytic converter). If the filter broke apart inside, it might be hanging on and tapping on the side walls.

That's just a flex joint after the Cats. I have a rattle while accelerating on load between 1800-2200 RPM, its similar to something loose on the exhaust (like a clamp or something), when I get underneath of the car don't see anything loose. its been a mystery for me too

I drive an 18GT PP manual with Active Exhaust currently at 95k miles

Mine rattles too especially over 3k. At mid throttle, sounds like something in exhaust. I can't figure it out and my flex joint on passenger side is tore up just like yours

Same rattle here, replace the pipe, hopefully it will go away.

I’ve just recently had this same problem on my 18GT. 1800-2200 rattle/tinging noise that’s only on acceleration and occasionally around 3200-3500 RPM.

I legit thought I was going crazy because I could hear it constantly and my girlfriend only heard it once or twice. Every idea of what could be wrong has been flying through my head for the past week and I for some reason didn’t think it could be the exhaust.

That's just the well known 2K rattle, look it up on here.

Those flex pipes do go bad (and any exhaust shop can fix it), but it usually makes a pretty obnoxious rattle all the time and gives you false knock.

No CEL or any obvious problems at the moment, just annoying rattle. Once I get time at my shop I’ll toss it on a lift and see what I find. I’m hoping it’s something quick and easy and not a cat.

Check the emergency brake cable and attaching assembly found under the driver side trans tunnel. This has been a known source of tick/rattle as well and is hard to replicate unless in a certain RPM range. When the cable is loose, it vibrates or raps against the trans tunnel under certain conditions OR could be touching exhaust mid pipe. How to adjust the cable and assembly:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/how-to-adjust-your-parking-brake.25204/

If that was not the source of the noise, then also check:

Check the trans block spacer plate, it’s a common issue across the S550 and F150 platform:

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...hen-accelerating-hard-above-4000k-rpm.107728/

Check the driveshaft center support bearing assembly. There is a small aluminum plate attached to the bottom of it which comes loose and rattles - see this thread:

Another MT82 source of clunk/rattle coming from under car:
