Hey guys, I have found only a couple other posts about this - seems to be an uncommon issue.
No matter how heavy the throttle, shortly after locking into 3rd gear, there will be a split-second loss of power. Almost feels like fuel has been cut for the briefest moment.
Imagine the tach needle climbing, and climbing, when it suddenly halts and sustains itself at a random RPM, always between 2200 and 2900. Like I said, it’s brief and maybe unnoticeable to some people. The car accelerates normally before and after.
This always occurs in 3rd gear. AFR is normal, no service lights or other problems. I can actually hear the exhaust change tone whenever it happens, which is... every single time the car goes into 3rd. SelectShift or not.
