Got my Active 2.0 today. Color me impressed. I'll say this...it's significatnly smaller than I ever expected. Neither good nor bad, just an observation. This sucker works as advertised. Haven't had the chance to run the foam yet, but it's a nice little piece of kit. I got it from Adam's and opted for their in-house upgrade kit. Worth it to me, since I didn't have to piece together items to have everything ready to roll. Five stars, would buy again. Now I'm excited to clean every damn thing, LOL.

That's on my to-buy list. Going to go all in and mount it on the wall with a decent long hose reel. Saw it first at Obsessed Garage but their accessory kits are mental. I'm not sure I need 20 nozzles for the gun. Going to combine it with a 14l water softener tank and have it all hooked up with 2-way splitters etc.

When you've got it foaming let me know what accessories were worth it!

The Adam's upgrade kit adds every accessory I think I'll need; a 60' super nice hose, higher quality hand gun, and all appropriate qd's. It also added Adam's standard foam cannon, but I'm swapping this out today for their brand premium foam cannon.

I have a Greenworks 1800psi one from Lowes or Home Depot. Have had it about 4 years now, still works awesome.

For the foam cannon I bought, there is a little insert that the soap hits that generates the foam - eventually a "hole" blows through this and it stops foaming. I have a pack of inserts I bought to replace this when it stops foaming real good. Generally have to replace about one a year.

I have hard water but with that + some extra soap I get some good suds.

I'm using a small Karcher, but will put the Active on my list for the next time. I bought the Karcher because...unlike most locally available...needed a certain length of hose between the spigot and the PW. Something to do with the way they shock the water line when the trigger is released on the wand. My water supply only needs a very short length of home to the PW

I wish I had gotten this one after seeing it. Way better than the cheaper $150 one that I got instead with the convenience of the reel for the line. I still hate that they have the hose inlet and looks to have the power cord in the rear so you have stuff on either end going in different directions is my only complaint that I deal with on my current one and that one also looks to have the same set up. I will probably purchase that tonight though and find a new home for the other one, or save it.

Actually upon seeing the 2nd page of this thread I really like that Active 2.0 and how small it is. Pretty sure that's going to be the winner when I order a new one tonight.

The big selling point of the Active 2.0 is the flow rate, it comfortably eclipsing most if not all comparably priced machines. Flow not pressure is what you want for car washing.

Leave it to the master to succinctly nail down the issue with PW's.

Just think about putting your thumb over the end of the water hose. Do you get less flow? Same thing here. You want the spray pattern but, you want maximum water volume most of all and this is the main characteristic you want from an electric PW that is used for vehicle cleaning, not pressure.

Gas units are pretty much the opposite, they optimize for pressure and should never be used on a vehicle without extreme care.

My 12 year old electric is still going strong and it's a very similar spec to that active unit :

Active = 2.0 GPM and 1800 PSI
My unit = 2.2 GPM and 2030 PSI

It cleans and foams very well (but I have good water that helps).

I do like the look of that active unit though, looks very compact and easy to store etc :sunglasses:

I will likely stump up for a Kranzle when mine finally breaks / become uneconomical to repair ...

I ordered it with the upgrade kit along with a few other things last night. Spent about $700 on stuff. Was a bit irritated cause the bigger reason I decided to do that last night was they had a 20% off everything on the main site but it did not work on the pressure washer and did on everything else I had in the cart.

I finally bought a Kranzle for my guys in the shop. OMG it's quiet, you could stand next to it while on the phone without an issue and the total stop feature is nice. That said, I think most people would be just fine with the $120 Karcher cube that also has total stop and just buy appropriately sized nozzles.

I would argue that the accessories are 95% of the equation and not to get fixated on a certain PW. you dont have to spend $1000 on one to maintain a vehicle
