Hi All, apologies if this info is setting elsewhere and I can’t find it. Got a text from the wife that this message came up on the dash. Will check if it’s a fuse when I get home. Wanted to ask a couple questions.

If not a fuse, other items worth checking?
The bumper to bumper warranty is expired on the car but still under power train warranty. Does anyone know if covered under power train ?

thanks

Not sure if this issue also plagues GT350's, but a lot of GT owners experience a chaffed or broken wire at the valve electrical connector on the passenger side. It rubs on a pinch weld

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust or OEM? Also, does the message go away after you drive around a while and things warm up, or does it stay that way no matter how far you drive?

Mine does that sometimes if it is really cold. Works after engine warms up a little.

Could also be stuck valve on the exhaust. Had that on mine.

Just fixed that on my GT. The wires were rubbing on the passenger side. I got the message for a couple of days before the fuse went out. I would check the wires there as a starting point.

Thanks all. I checked it when I got home. Fuse is ok but error message still there. Don’t have a lift so will probably bring it in for a look.

Did you do a pull right before that happened? I did this on my GT a month ago. Thought I fucked something up bad but the wiring harness above the muffler tips just got pinched on the frame of the car and shorted it out.

Happened to me too a while back. I repaired the harness and deleted the Active Exhaust, moving the actuator valves to an AWE bracket to keep the light off on the dash.

I believe @WD Pro has mentioned shortening the exhaust a bit to give move it forward and provided more clearance between the body and AE harness. This would also be an option for you to correct things moving forward.

You can disable the AE in FORScan too. The reverse of retrofitting the AE. Would save like 2 lbs of weight and the price of the bracket 😂

I had no idea that was even an option. With that being said, it’s clear that there’s always more than one way to get things done.

On the subject of FORScan, can it also be used to increase the rpm range for launch control? It sure would be nice to not be limited to 5500 rpm.

I don’t think so. I’m about to change some stuff on my car so I’ll take a look and let you know. You can set a launch rpm than 5500 with a WOTBOX if that helps at all

That’s correct. I do have a WOT Box too and I have transitioned between the two at times, but I’d like to have the ability to at least increase the factory LC to 6200. It’s just easier and quicker than hooking up my laptop to the WOT Box to make changes. Of course I can also use the button on the WOT Box, but I don’t trust doing it that way. Looking at the software allows me to make sure nothing else has changed inadvertently.

I’m still trying to fine-tune my launch rpm and would like to find the most convenient way possible to do it.

You didn't specify which car you have. The early GT350's would throw that code if the exhaust (noise) valves got stuck and couldn't move when commanded by the ECU, usually by ice in the winter. There was a TSB to fix it. Later cars had the software fix from the factory.
