I've looked around other forums and wondering if any GT350 owners do any special cleaning or routine maintenance on the exhaust actuators and flaps within the mufflers? I'm at 16k miles on my 2020 and get this issue until the car warms up (I assume clears up) carbon. Appreciate thoughts, experiences or suggestions.

When @pilotgore was attending the Track Attack, he discussed this with the technicians who maintained the GT350's.... they said the trick is to tap it with a hammer and use liquid wrench:

Official GT350 Track Attack Attendance Thread | Page 72 | 2015+ S550 Mustang Forum (GT, EcoBoost, GT350, GT500, Bullitt, Mach 1) - Mustang6G.com

When I attended, I confirmed what @pilotgore was told.... tap it with a hammer.
The Technicians were very willing to talk technical details if you could catch them when they were available.

Mine says this all the time, but I intentionally removed the fuse from the underhood fuse box after open the valves. Car stays in loud mode now without having to open the valves every time. Cold starts sound awesome now too. 😎

FYI, that doesn't work on every model year.

After every wash and before any road trip, I just blast a quick shot of WD-40 (or favorite brand eqivalent. I actually use the Amsoil counterpart) on the top and bottom of the valve mounting points.

Thanks, guys. Thoughts on what to get? Using just a penetrating oil and/or lubricant? White Lithium grease? So many choices.

PB Blaster but just because of the smell. Nostalgia for me. I'd hang that shit off the rearview mirror if they made a scent out of it.

I'm no IT guy, but the valve control isn't in the tables or whatever. I'll ask my guy. One has to assume if that was possible in a tune, that would have been shared by now.

...and you know you're in the 350 section, right? Not being a dick, just that a lot of guys post over here not knowing they're here, and a lot of stuff between the two cars (GT vs 350) does not carry over.

i own a gt350... and you can tune them out with both hp tuners and SCT. just set manual control to enabled and position to 100% open

It has just not a lot. i found this out while trying to get the stuck open because i hated the fact that the valve's close in 6th gear
