Are you sure its not the throttle body clicking? Mine started clicking, and could hear it through the intake. Replaced it and all is good. My ltft's were a little high at idle and cruise too, new throttle body fixed all that
Positive. When I stand outside the car and have someone else go from first to reverse back and forth its clear its coming from under the drivers seat area. Not from the engine bay. Plus my fuel trims are spot on. I pulled the wastegste and re-seated the metal gasket yesterday. Once it's back on the ground I'll see if it still clicks.

Thanks though, all possibilities are welcome. I dont want to over look anything while I have it up in the air. Hoping to have it back on the road tomorrow morning. It sucks not going fast!

Well I drove the car to work this morning and everything felt good. Made 3-4 pulls and felt no power loss. Data logged a short drive a few mins ago with a couple more pulls and logs looked good. I had 1.5° of knock once on a missed 1-2 shift (stupid I know) but no where else in the pulls.

My only concern is I don't feel like I really found/ fixed anything that would have been causing my problem earlier this week. I kinda just went anal on anything that didn't look perfect. My passanger side pipe between the turbo and intercooler was up against the ac line so I separated and insulated that area but it's been that way for 6k miles with no issue so I doubt that was it.

I pulled the wastegate and repeated the metal gasket. It's still making a clicking sound but seems to do less of it, maybe? Hard to tell.

I also noticed what looked like a little spot rubbing between the wastegate mounting flange and a heat shield under the car so I flattened the shield out to get more separation. This made me wonder if my motor mounts might be bad causing it to rub. Tested the mounts and my motor doesn't twist in the slightest so thats a no go.

I even cleaned up some unused plastic supports from my o2 wires that might have been tapping against the Trans and pulled my steel braided oil lines away from from the block/ Trans. I can't see this making any tapping noises that are any louder/ different than the noisy valve train in these cars but who knows.

I'm not too optimistic that these were causing my 9.99 false knock on shifts but the car is happy so far. I guess only time will tell at this point. Cross your fingers for me!

I'll give E85 a try again. However, I'm convinced it's false knock, and it's driving me nuts.

If I'm light on the throttle going up the RPM range, the car feels great. If I stomp on it, it feels like a dud.

Aside from the A/C bracket bolt, exhaust and exhaust clamps, etc., I'm out of places to look.

I just don't get it. It's incredibly frustrating when you mod your car to be faster, but it doesn't run optimally.
Im in the same boat, any luck solving the isuue??

for me it was a loose exhaust bolt just after the headers. Tightened it down and no more false knock. Also giving the car a pause between shifts confirms it.

Actually its still there, and getting up to 10 degrees of knock during shifts now... worse at 4th and 5th gear shifts.
My flex pipe rattles, time to address that next.

Flex pipe is probably the culprit. Mine was fixed, it was the passenger side muffler tip contacting the valence under bumps or heavy power application when the rear squatted.

Mine is during shifts, very short spikes in 4th and 5th
Looking forward to doing some pulls soon
