Didn’t think it would be so bad being near stock with minor mods after I sold my last GT350 which was fully built. Decided to get some bolt ons to get this one up to speed. Still not going to be at the level of ol red but I’ll get close enough for street driving.

Why did you trade in the last one? I also heard the gen 1 predator ( or voodoo? Forgot the name. But the gen 2 can handle boost unlike the gen 1.

I was just stupid and sold it. Shouldn’t have but can’t be undone. It had a stage 2 RPG short block so no worries on boost. It was over a 1000whp on E85 and 16lbs. I’m not going to get as aggressive on this one. I think in the 700s will be enough to be fun.

My old stage 2, whipple tune, was 752 on pump gas at the wheels. Sure was a blast.

Oh that would have been a really fun car to drive. Mine has 689 but I want more. Just got to do so much to get there. I have a vortech and they told me I can get to around 1000 hp if I get a triple pump and go e85. Just gotta do all the supporting mods before I do that. That’s not gonna be cheap with all the crap I gotta do.

Well my feeling is related to stock to stock. my 2017 felt more powerful than my 2018. And the drag race against other stock GT350s would confirm this.

that said, you seem to have a good handle on your mod plan.

The Gen2 block is stronger as ford went to a common block with GT500 and GT350, but the rest of the supporting parts are not boost ready in my opinion. Too high 12:1 compression, OPG is the same, etc. So when people say “Gen2 can take boost”, I disagree… not without substantial heat and life expectancy issues. Or just build it from The ground up to handle boost. Or, buy a GT500 ;)

Not to worried about longevity, if she pops then RPG will get the call.
I don’t see a 500 in the future for me. I can’t get over that front end. Plus there’s so many of them driving around here, if you go to any car show theres at least 5 of them to every 1 350.
To me the sexist S550s are the GT350, Mach 1 oh and that Hertz car. Love that hood.
If they had made an N/A 5.2 option for the Mach I’d be driving it. Like a non supercharged version of the predator.
