Are Racing Stripes LAME? PLEASE HELP!

I am on the fence with stripes as well...one day I like them, next day I don't, LOL!! But my car gets lost in a car show or whatever so I am really considering something.

Wandering if the paint will like fade overtime and if I ever decide to change or remove them if you'll be able to notice it.

Yes but it wont happen quickly. The sun will age your paint no matter how well you try to stop it. That being said clear coats have a good UV resistance. Candy paints fade out in a few years if left often in direct sunlight even if they have a lot of clear paint over top.

That being said i like strips but i havent added any to my car.

So I been trying to decide whether or not racing stripes are lame or . Because

1. I had a vinyl shop make me some for the front portion of my rebuilt GT350 and the color is way off.
2. for me to purchase the original ones its roughly $1000 just for the front portion
3. purchase an aftermarket stripe kit and hopefully the quality isn't complete
4. Go for the clean look and remove all the stripes currently on it?
5. just leave it the way it is be different. lol

I had Big Worm Graphix install mine 6 years ago, back when they were in Ft. Worth. $420 out the door and they still look new.

Personally I like the strips. I wasn't crazy about the ghost stripes on mine when I bought it and almost changed them out for black, but they have really grown on me. Now I definitely won't change them.
