Factory racing stripes??

Is it just me or does anyone else NEVER see any 2016 S550's on the road with factory stripes?

When I was shopping I really liked the fade-in/fade-out look of the factory stripes and I really struggled over taking one with everything I wanted but had the black roof, or ordering exactly what I wanted with the stripes and waiting. I went with the black roof and love it.

But ever since I bought, Im pretty sure I have never seen one with factory stripes on the road or in owners pics. Or are the pics Im seeing factory stripes and they just look a lot different than I thought they would?

I have yet to see any either. I ordered my car with the stripes, and the very day ford showed them on their build page I went to the dealer and had them removed from the order. I had a local shop stripe my car and couldn't be happier. It only cost me $100 more than the factory ones and are exactly what I always wanted.

Not that uncommon in central AZ. On the roads and the lots.

I prefer a different style but even if I didn't, I wouldn't have ordered them on my car because it adds so much time since they aren't done at the factory. It's always a long enough wait without that.

I ordered them on my Guard EB that has yet to arrive.

Looked at over 130 window stickers of Guard Mustangs before I found one in Denver with the black OTT Stripes (really wanted to see a pic before ordering).

Saw them in person on Red & Orange before though so I could see what the actual stripes look like up close and how they did the "fade".

Not the best stripes out there, but different and very uncommon so I'm sure I'll get lots of comments. Also like DIB, they are a pretty subtle contrast and that is what I like about them too.

Getting my car at Invoice, so with 5% sales tax the stripes only cost me $465.15 plus the week or so ADDED to the lead time.

I have the black stripes with the blue. Cam barely see them. Nothing close to what it looked like on the Ford website. I ordered because of how it looked on the build page. Probably going to have then replaced worth black stripes with a red accent

My friend called the black stripes on my dib gt ghost stripes because you barely see them. Lol

Have never seen one. Not a stripes fan but the DIB with stripes looks good.

Yup. I would've gone for them too if they didn't fade away. Maybe if they were solid on the front and faded towards the rear of the car, I dunno. But for $600 bucks - for stripes I didn't like, I passed. Scored a white vinyl set for $175. Big deal. Every other car I've owned has vinyl stripes. I'm not so bourgeois that I need painted stripes.
