Yes we do with a $500.00 deposit.

Chuck
They should honor that, although I have heard more dealers adding ADM to custom orders. I would push it up the flag pole, I hope they will make it right. Its a damn shame, stuff like this happens.

Are on the same transport (car carrier/convoy) ? or you thinking they will be on the same transport delivered to the dealer ?
Same transport likely.

Our sales person called to set a time to get together this afternoon. I asked her, again, about the $10k ADM on our special order Mach 1. She said they are willing to only charge a $7500 ADM. Told I wasn't going to pay ANY ADM and to go back to whoever told that and tell them what I said. I got a very timid "Ok, I can try." She said the ADM is because it's a Mach 1. I again told her it's a SPAICAL ORDER and NOT a Mach 1 they have setting on the lot. Looks like I may have to go with our back plan.
that's crazy.. can't believe they'd do that on a special order.. unbelievable world today

Do you have a copy of the signed DORA, when you placed the order?
I have this. Plus I had to pay a $500 down payment on it. Nothing was said at the time about any ADM.

They should honor that, maybe someone else can chime in as well. I hope they will do the right thing.

Personally, I'd threaten to get lawyers involved if they refuse to honor the pricing on the DORA as is. You have a signed DORA sheet here with a price circled in red. I would think that this would be a pretty cut and dry case in your favor. The other thing is, the dealership will lose any money they'd make on the markup in legal fees if you took them to court. So that'd be more incentive for them to honor the original price.

For what it's worth, I've had someone take me to court over a house sale "contract" that was missing key info, never signed, and just had a couple of emails agreeing on a potential price, and the judge forced us to either take it to litigation or settle it out of court (he would not dismiss it even though this guy already owned a house and the house in question was my only residence). We ended up settling because even though I was confident I'd win, it was going to cost me tens of thousands to get rid of that asshole if I didn't concede.

If someone like that can get away with that flimsy of a case and drag it out, I would think yours is basically open and shut in your favor by comparison. But I am no lawyer and this isn't legal advice. Do you have any emails or anything additional from the dealership confirming purchase price? That might help your case if you need it.

Hopefully they just honor MSRP and you don't have to deal with all of that. But if you really want the car, just throwing this out there as a potential option.

A follow-up from yesterday.

zl1addons confirmed the tow hook/plate holder combination I was interest in will work for a M1, HP or non-HP. Items purchased:

1. Tow hook kit, 2021/2022 M1. Includes tow hook end and shaft. To install, simply screw into the factory receiver.

2. License plate, the plate holder only. The two hook end can be removed, leaving the shaft still screwed into the receiver. Simply bolt the plate holder onto it.

As others have pointed out, this is not the only M1 solution. It's one, for those with HP in-particular.

Drilling the front facade on Skye for the license plate is a definite no.

I've been studying bracket options this evening.

STO N SHO has a great produce line. I did not see a Mach 1 install product for the HP (they DO have one for non-HP). This has to do with the additional splitter in the front.

ZL1 AddOns has a setup which I think is going to work. I have an e-mail out to them now. ZL1 has a product which uses the tow hook mount. If I understand everything correctly, we can use a tow hook, remove it, and place the bracket back using the same mount. It's bolt on and bolt-off. No drilling. Just a wrench.

This post is to show the tow hook cover and how to remove it, exposing the factory mount. The tow hook cover can be removed with fingers. On the right side of the cover, press down on the BUMPER. Then, use your other hand to pull the top of the cover out and down. Then pull up to remove the bottom of the cover from its tabs.

You'll notice the cover has a triangle-shaped tab, to keep it from falling out. It's kind of springy. Using a pick-like tool, you can bring one edge out at a time and completely remove the cover. With that, you can immediately bolt the bracket or hook in-place.

I like the idea of using the same mount for either tow hook or license bracket. Seems kind of cool on the side and not centered. Definitely like the idea not having holes anywhere.

Lawyers and lawsuit threats do not scare large companies. not one bit. they have more money and time to spend on those things than we do. PLUS i am pretty sure "somewhere" it states that the quoted prices is not final. even the docs i got from Granger had language like that, BUT Granger verbally tells the customers the price is locked unless you make changes after a price increase.

good luck.

I agree if the company is large or a corporation, but I was assuming that this was just a dealership. Unless the OP ordered from one of a chain of many dealerships like Herb Chambers or something similar, I don't think most dealerships would be wanting to deal with a lawsuit over a $7.5k to $10k ADM.

Also, just because it says that on the DORA doesn't necessarily mean it protects the dealer from honoring the price. ADM is pretty much just out of pure greed by dealers and in this case was pretty hidden. OP put a deposit down too, which puts things even more in his favor. I think using the DORA to get specific performance as agreed upon may be worthwhile if OP wants to go to the hassle.

I hate lawyers and lawsuits more than anyone, but you have to use all tools available at your disposal and not be a doormat or else these stealerships will get away with boning you, the consumer. If it was me, I would just walk and buy something else as it's not worth the stress to me. But it might be to some people.

Well this is a smack in the balls, first email since the one they told me it shipped back on 6/2 and it’s been sitting in the rail yard in Kansas City since 6/8 based on Grangers info and FP. WTF 🤷🏻‍♂️ Plus last info was to be delivered by the 7/15

They sure pad those with a lot of fluff.

I hardly ever lease a vehicle, so I'm looking for some advice.

Only a few months ago both my wife and I got 72 month loans for 2.5% from our CU.
Now that rate is 5.19%
5.19!!!

By the time my car comes in, who knows what it will be.

So I'm considering leasing instead.

Wise, or stupid?

Thanks!

If you plan on keeping it and/or performing any mods, buy it.
