I ordered a day after you from Chapman, none HP and white. Car is in shipping. Odd mine was built before yours. Well maybe not odd based on this thread.
Did you get Auto or manual?

Thinking of submitting another order without HP…..

Original order Twister Orange HP Manual was 5/7/21. Reordered Eruption Green 1/7/22. Got word from my dealer it was built last week (on schedule). Ford follow up email says should be delivered next week.

My order is also with Chapman - they have 25 M1 orders pending. I’m starting to think only a handful of those will get build slots.

Has anyone taken delivery from Chapman this year?
I'm wondering this myself. I called a week ago (before Thursday allotments) and they said I was #10 on Mach1 list (confirmed 12/14/2021). Seem to recall Granger has been getting ~2 allocations per week that Ford is accepting orders so I'm hoping with similar volume to at least get a build vin in 5 ordering weeks or so.

I ordered a manual.

Hard to say if the HP is the delay. A few on here ordered in March/April and received or had HPs built already.

So strange how this plays out for many here.

My story…..
Car ordered 10/25/2021.
VIN provided in Nov 2021.
Car is built mid Jan 2022.
Released for shipping 1/27/2022.
Now for 10 times the release for shipping date moves out now 7/15/2022. All that changes is the dates on the spreadsheet. No explanation except more time is required to complete. Manual, 700a, non HP.

I contact the dealer and neither they or the Ford rep they talk with can provide any info except everyone is waiting and nothing they can do. No proactive communication. I always have to initiate and made to feel like I’m the bad guy at the end of the conversation.
I tried to cancel and get my deposit back. Nope, if I cancel they keep it. So I’m waiting and waiting with little info provided. How not to treat a customer. Car better be perfect and all that it is advertised to be or it will be for sale. Such a horrible experience and the lack of communication and empathy with their customers is sad.

I do not see how they can keep your deposit after the length of time you have been waiting.

I called my dealer today, and told him how I felt and I would probably be by there to get my deposit. I was asked to wait until the regional manager could get involved, and his answer returned.

Im now shopping for other cars.

yeah i have been saying and thinking just this for a while. With so few being produced the dealers with 30 heck even 40 i think for Granger at one point will NOT be getting all those M1s.

the risk of ordering for a "deal" i guess.

with orders getting pushed to AUGUST i guess i will put my hopes on a Sept build.

I cannot believe your car hasn't been built yet. That is absurd. I cannot blame you for cross shopping either. Even if it does end up getting built and you're price locked, it's not a bad idea to grab it.

I wanted an IS 500 if I didn't get my Mach 1 but even Lexus is having problems making those. I'd love an RS3 too but it might be a little cramped for someone my height plus that engine isn't fun to fix if something happens.

I always see a lot of new M3's now. Front end change be damned, people are buying them.

I do not like the new grills on the BMW, it would definitely be a used M series for me.

I feel for you man, sorry Ford has done you and others dirty like this. I'm really surprised y'all have gotten your build dates pushed back so many times, especially when I've seen spring 2022 orders get production dates already on here. Ford's production system is so fucked.

What are you looking at getting into? There's a lot of good options out there, especially if you don't need a backseat.
