It's not a kit. I put it together. The threaded sleeve is modded King shock body. Everything else is mix and match as necessary. Honestly, it wasn't all that great an idea financially, but it does what I need it to do and it was a lot less than other MR struts.

Riddle me this.....I found a 2019 GT with PP2 and had the vin verified that it was indeed built with PP2 and here's the pic of the VDM which matches the numbers you have for a 19 GT350R.

Oh, that's interesting! That is the only instance I've seen of one of the "sequentials" matching. I'm not surprised that the other numbers match, there is really only a little bit of overlap in the transition from 2017 to 2018 when MR became available on non-Shelby cars. All 2016, 2017, and some 2018 Shelby's had VDM's that started with FR3V and ended with DZZBA. The normal '18 cars like mine started with JR3C and ended with GBRPC. 2019 = KR3C; 2020 = LR3V. That one 19W213 is the only one I've seen like that.

For reference, here's the list I have from the end of 2017 through 2020. All these have been found on ePay except for my personal EBPP+MR and the one or two others noted in this thread.

There are no external difference and my conversations with Ford, Ford Performance and the dealer were completely unhelpful. They don't know what the difference is!

However, the 350R and 500 dampers are different internally and make about twice the damping force for a given electrical input. Ford might not change the *programming* of the Magneride controller all that much because they're getting the additional damping force mechanically, not electrically.

I have the 350R struts on my car. It's a significant difference, even when still using the stock controller.
Just thinking the GT500 is much heavier and has a ton of power, so the dampers maybe internally changed to handle this . Just a guess though .

So what number do you think is the actual mapping/firmware? The 19 PP2 I found ends in 6557and the 19 GT350R ends in 6651, all other numbers being the same.

So I am about to order a m9602m kit for my PP1 magnaride.
I like the idea it’s a Ford product so I know Ford designed correctly, and I have a new flash as well in the kit.
The alternative is Steeda dual rates and anti roll bars..

Checking the rates of the 2 different setups, they are wildly different.
Has anyone here experienced both set ups ?

I am leaning to FP quite heavily though.
Btw, no track work, just some spirited mountain pass drives etc.

The weight and power is all true, but it's also necessary for *any* Mustang to increase the damping over stock if you're going to be on track.

I don't have experience with these kits, but I've tried a lot of different rates. I'd choose the FP springs. The Steeda front is good, but I just can't understand running as stiff as they do on the rear. I prefer the softer rear rate of the FP combo and I think it would be a good option for back-road sorties and general street driving.

Just to add in my experience / set up:

2020 Bullitt magnaride
FP magnaride suspension kit sways on stiffest setting
Complete BMR bushings, lock out kit, adjustable toe links, camber plates etc
MGW shifter

Get a proper alignment and it's an incredible set up for the casual to amateur track driver and still perfectly good on street (passes pregnant wife test). I don't know why anyone would choose Steeda anything over the Ford kit. The shop that did the work for me does a ton of Porsche and BMWs and the manager was basically gushing at the bang for the buck value on the FP kit. It's like $1k and add an MGW or Barton shifter + camber plates you've transformed the driving experience.

Just went to a square set up w lighter wheels 285/35/19s all around and the suspension tuning definitely likes the stiffer sidewalls on the supercar 3s even more than the MPS4s. Shaved like 12lbs a corner of rotating mass and it's a downright magical set up from what I've tested on back roads. 2 more track days coming up so I'll get a better sense of the limits w the new wheels + tires. Can't come close on the street.

How modular this basic a$$ rental car chassis is blows my mind.

I’ve been shopping for a while and narrowed it down to the 5300’s or the Steeda springs. Ironically enough, literally everyone I find with the Steeda springs (which disappointingly isn’t many) says the rears do not ride or perform as stiff as the numbers would indicate. IDK. But your FP spring endorsement speaks tons for me!

Just did a track day at Blackhawk Farms, where I went for the first time back in late April with OEM wheels and tires. Really really incredible set up adding the light wheels and square tires. Super balanced with a tendancy towards understeer at the limit. Putting power down on exit tires gave decent warning if the rear started to leave vs just losing it. Turn in response was night and day difference. I'm a fairly new track driver and was turning 1:26s with one or two 1:25s thrown in per session. In April I was high 1:20s, although it was my first time. Guy who tracked the heck out his 350 on that course would run 1:23s. Kept up with the 1LE camaros in my group, so super happy overall. With more seat time pretty confident low 1:20s is doable. Biggest issue is keeping myself in the seat now (don't have recaros).

FP tune for magneride makes a ton of difference, and there is no way for you to get it with Steeda springs or any other kit. in my experience, FP is a very well balanced kit, that not just adds stiffer this and that in right places, but also gives proper differentiation between magneride modes. And the price is really great for the level of improvement the whole package brings. even at a track, it's an amazing difference and handling characteristics. if you plan for street use only, this package is more that you need. throw some proper wheel/tire package at it and you're all set.

I use a very poor man's alternative on my trackdays: https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B07F2V9WW2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It was mentioned by another member here some years ago, and he included a link to amazon in the US, but I unfortunately cannot find it at the moment.
I remember something similar from years ago when I was on the M3 forum.

The type they seemed to favour was all aluminium and had the look of an aircraft style quality item.

I can't for the life of me remember the brand however locking around on the net, I think it may have been an older variant of the 'CG Lock' :like:
