...

And then I started with an installation of OEM Ford Performance GT500/Mach 1 spoiler. First thing that p****d me off was a template, that was shorter than actual trunk lid. Well, that meant taking the measurements over and over and over again, to place it in the middle. Also I spent a lot of time with masking tape.

If I knew what it takes to install that spoiler properly, I would rather pay someone to do it for me :cwl: Never ever :cwl:
And it would be off center, gaps showing, bad trimming etc, and you would feel over charged.

Good job!

I meant the volume difference. Is there a tone difference as well? Mine sounds like a 12 year old playing the trumpet lol.
That's the point. My 2019 horn sounded like it was from a tiny econobox car. No one driving a Mustang would ever use such a horn. Probably why Ford gave up the idea of a single horn.

Decided to go with white for the calipers. I used the G2 kit. Used a good 2" brush being that the brush they supply is meant for watercoloring kindergarten pictures. Seems like a quality paint though. Inspired by a very well known member from Miami, Mr. @Salty. Thanks for posting those pics, pal. I also went with the Ford Performance decal because the red in the lettering matches the 5.0 dot. I'll post some better pics when its not raining and I can get the car out of the garage.

Question: How many miles should one expect to get out of these factory goodyears (normal driving)? Any input is appreciated.

Installed a Steeda G-Trac 4 point subframe brace on my convertible. It makes a very significant improvement.

Would you mind supplying the source of those decals? They look like they fit perfectly.

Probably. When my Ford dealer told me that their mechanic installed a spoiler few months ago, lost nut in the trunk lid and spent another day retrieving it, I decided to do it myself :D

Thank you :)

I finally started the installation of my Hurst Indy Short Throw Shifter today. It’s probably the most involived modification I’ve attempted on the GT so far. Half of the work is done topside in the cabin, and the rest under the car. It would be much easier if the car was up on a lift, but I am doing it with the car sitting on twelve inch wheel cribs. To get to the shifter, I had to drop the exhaust system, drive shaft, and the transmission support. I’ve almost got the drive shaft down. I came inside to warm up.

Stay with it, you’re almost there?

In what way if you don't mind me asking?
It nearly eliminates cowl shake and the whole front end feels much more tight, the turn-in response is fantastic.

Installed my first modification. Feels so much better and this is what ford should have done from the factory.

I had the original WM shifter on my previous car. His new design (your photo) is much more robust plus any standard threaded knob fits it.

I'm tempted to send him a 20,000 mile reliability report, but I haven't even reached 11,000 in the 3 years with this car, haha!

I agree 100%!
That's the way the shifter for the A10 should have come. The stock shifter is very, very ugly in my honest opinion. Terrible.

What's the difference between the old design and the new design?

I only have 2,200 miles on my 2019 car and I bought it brand new in 2019. LOL :giggle:

Wow, and I worried that my car was a garage queen in the first COVID year.

The original design had a unique ball that did not attach real securely to the shaft. The spring operation was not as smooth. He replaced mine with a second version. The current version is the good design.

In my experience as a product designer, the first version is proof of concept. Second version is major debug. Third version is ready for market.
