Have only driven my new mustang ~ 300 miles and already come into contact with an idiot where if I didn't react absurdly quickly would've merged right into my front end.

What dash cams do you all use? Preferably easily removable.

I am using the Viofo A119. When I bought it (I think about 2 years ago) it was regarded as the best decent but cheap dashcam, the best bang for the buck basically. It captures high quality video in both day and night and I've been pleased with it.

I think it might have been replaced by the A129, which is probably pretty similar. Looks like Viofo makes several models https://www.viofo.com/

Do you leave it in the car the entire time? I'm worried someone might break into my car for the dash cam :/ . I live in California so you know how it can be.

Got a few A119s in the family. Had to open one up to wipe the lens as it became cloudy, otherwise, no issues. This site is pretty good with comparisons and recommendations on where to buy, since there are fakes: https://dashcamtalk.com/

Yeah I do but I park in my own garage. It's not that noticeable from outside, but if you're worried about it you can remove the camera easily, there's a piece that attaches to your windshield with double sided tape, and then the camera clicks onto that piece. I'll find some pics:

I have the cobra sc200. App is fairly glitchy but the camera itself is easy to use and has a clear picture.

For quality and reliability check out Garmin. Currently I'm using a Garmin 56 on my Mustang right now, It's tiny & you can barely notice it in front of the rearview mirror. The app works trouble free with zero issues, best of all the camera now comes with a magnetic mount so removal and reinstallation takes seconds.

Doesn’t it kill you battery if you leave it on like once your turn off the car?

Is there anyway to prevent that, like the battery from draining but leaving the dash cam on.

I have two Garmin dash cams a #56 and a #57 both are hardwired using the parking mode cable the 57 is on a daily driver the 56 is on a fair weather car connected to a battery tender Dec.- March. I've not experienced any battery issues with either vehicle.

I've been looking at the Garmin 67W for a bit. Can you turn off land departure and collision warning and all that other nonsense. I just want it to record.

How big of an SD card do you have? Wondering how much 512GB will hold.

I have three of my cars with VIOFO A129 dual 4k. Pictures are great, BUTT: They over hear and so far I have replaced two of them due to not powering on. I would not recommend. Pay more, get better reliability. Good Luck

Yes, you can turn off both of these features. Personally I keep the collision avoidance on as it has helped me drive more defensively. As for SD card size i think I'm using 64gb. I'm not sure if you even need anything that large, all recording are saved on the app for 24hrs. if there's anything notable I just save to my phone.

Well, just ordered it. Not sure just yet if I'm going to tap into the mirror or do the constant power thing.

Wow the no-screen version of that cam is absolutely tiny. I probably would have bought that if I'd known about it.
