That air to water seems to be the fucking answer. @Toy Cobra could you say roughly what IATs were at the line and at the end of the 1/4?
Alright, here's the update. Both headers are in.
This is how you have to do the passenger side:
Some pics of what I am talking about:
- Loosen the ac compressor, all three bolts until one or two turns are left to create room for header to slide over top forward stud
- Remove both motor mount brackets, not the mounts themselves but the connection brackets, and tension the engine toward the driver side
- Remove all studs except for the two for the forward-most cylinder, replace all studs after sliding on header
- Floor jack needs to come in from the driver side if you're doing it on the shop floor
- Construct a wooden "block" out of some 2x4 and wood screws that fits in the groove of the jack head and has a small second piece to keep the main 2x4 from flipping sideways while lifted
- Don't lift the engine as far as you think you may need to
- Do not remove the battery or battery box, I did no work from up top, instead tightened the bolt above the ac lines from the wheel well with long extensions

do you happen to have any other pictures of the 2x4 fixture you made up for lifting the motor ?Alright, here's the update. Both headers are in.

I switched to Stainless Power 2" primary headers and didn't have a problem. Sometimes it's all about the design and quality.Installing headers on stands doesn’t sound very fun. Welding in such a small space…
Unfortunately I don't. You if you have access to an engine hoist, that works too.do you happen to have any other pictures of the 2x4 fixture you made up for lifting the motor ?
i will be attempting my kooks 1 3/4 headers install on jackstands in a garage.. should be fun.lol
thanks.
They have left the chat! More importantly, Where's the 7 PSI ESS crew? LOL.Where are the centri and procharger supercharger doubters at?
You're doing big things, Toy Cobra![]()
