bahaha. I have actually put 3 people in back at once. Had my Buddy who is 6’. My son who is 5’4” and my 8 year old in the middle with his feet on the center console. We actually raced a stingray corvette And when we beat his ass he pulled up and it looked like a clown car with us all getting out. He couldn’t believe we had 5 in there.
Uhh, you got it backwards who looked like a clown. It's a clown tradition to have too many people get out of a car.

Would have loved hearing you convince her mother that your son and buddy could restrain your daughter as well as a seatbelt while racing.

THat still looks like a 1st gen.
I like the 2nd gen body much better. and even back then it handled so much better than the 1st gen.
2nd generation are getting hard to find now. Especially the 70 to 72 with the round taillights.

The government sold off all their GM stock at a loss a long time ago.
not really, as seen as the community investment act, is what put them in the hole in the first place. GMAC being forced to hand out loans buried g.m. nothing else it all goes back to the community investment act. I'd list the players, but that is against forum rules.

So I feel the 2019 design was a attempt to kinda Resemble the 2nd gen ,the black in the middle to look like the split bumper and the tailights kinda as well .

Im torn between the 2020 Mustang GT and the 2020 Camaro SS both in A10 variants. And both seem to be very close in many aspects. I plan on asking this question on a camaro forum, but the other way around. But Im curious about those that shopped both seriously and chose the Mustang in the end. Lets not use the "visibility" argument though. I've driven both extensively and that isnt a problem in the camaro, at least not for me. What else prevented you from getting the camaro? Was it price, availability or was it options?? Lets have a real conversation without a flame war starting. Thanks.
The 2020 Camaro ZL1 and the base model 2020 Shelby GT500 were the two cars that I was considering back in the fall of 2020. The ZL1 (without the 1lE package) was around $15k cheaper than the GT500 with similar options. I chose the GT500 because mustangs especially Shelbys retain their value and the GT500 has 110 more horsepower.

It pisses me off that the government owns part of GM. Obama made GM give stock up for their bailout some years back. I know it is not GM's fault but I figure I give the government enough of my money.
your beef is with the union. GM should have been driven to bankruptcy and the union contracts torn up and rewritten. But the gov't was more interested in election votes than solving the actual problems.
Vendor financing is always a bad move. Just wait, Ford Finance is going to eat it hard and drag Ford down with them.

Who said anything about unions? My beef is that the government made GM give up stock rather than just extending them a loan. They bailed out Chrysler and Tesla without having to take part ownership.

what's a camaro?
Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate some Chevy products (as well as other manufacturers) and have owned a few in my early years.....but since around 21yo its primarily been Fords. Just a Blue Oval guy at heart.

If you consider the EV Federal incentive (offered to all EV manufacturers BTW) a bailout, you would be wrong. Tesla was not 'bailed out like GM & Chrysler.

I hadn't thought about that before, but after seeing the pics you posted, I agree the 2019 SS front end pays a little homage to the early 2nd gen Camaros with the split bumper. The 2019+ Camaro taillights remind me more of a 1968 Camaro, since they are a rectangular (ish) double light shape on each side. Overall, the 6th gen Camaro, to me, resembles a 1st gen in shape and bodylines more than any other generation besides the 5th gen.

Can't argue with the +110 hp. The base GT500 also has +240 lbs of additional mass to cart around over the A10 ZL1, negating a few dozen of those hp (at least from a lbs/hp perspective).

I bought a '21 ZL1; I'll never know if I would have ended up with a '20 GT500 since the Ford dealership I purchased my 2018 Mustang GT from a) didn't let me test drive and b) gouged people with ADM.

I wasn't going to plunk down that much money if I couldn't drive it. And the Chevy dealer let me test drive the ZL1, and it was phenomenal. The good thing is, my ZL1 doesn't leave me wanting, esp. considering I got it for under msrp.

Didn’t have to pay a markup for my GT500. My purchase happened before the chip shortage became a problem. I did travel 500 miles to avoid the markup.

The ZL1 is a beautiful car. The front of the camaro was always more attractive to me than the front of the mustang until Ford came out with the 2020 GT500. Congrats 🍾 on picking up the ZL1.
