Keep in mind, these are not the forged aluminum wheels found on the oem handling package.

I don't think the OEM wheels are forged aluminum, they are most likely flow formed which is a common practice nowadays for mid range wheels. Even the standard GT350 ones aren't forged.

they are more likely cast though. Maybe pressure cast at best.

For how relatively strong and lightweight flow formed wheels are, they are a great bang for the buck. Both flow formed and forged have their places though.

Just in case anyone is interested, I pulled the OEM HP wheels & tires off and weighed them. Fronts are a little over 60 lbs, rears a little under 62 lbs.

One front wheel with tire, center cap, TPMS, and wheel weights, aired-up, a little over 60 lbs for this assembly.

One rear assembly a little under 62 lbs.

subtract 26lb for the tire and you're left with 33-34lb wheel which is solidly cast wheel territory.
