2021 Official Mach 1 Order Tracking Thread

Was wondering when that was gonna happen, although there's only 2 more weeks you can order a 2021 with any option combination anyway. I seem to remember reading 2021 orders end Oct 1 and 2022 begin mid-Oct, although 2022 production doesn't start till Jan 1, or something along those lines.

Tonight I took all the old balancing weights off the take-off set of base Mach 1 wheels that I bought for winter and washed them in prep for tire installation. New set of TPMS just arrived, too late to put them on tonight but once they're screwed onto the valve stems I can drop everything off and get the tires put on. Felt good to do SOMETHING Mustang related even though there's no car to put them on.

BUILD OUR CARS!!! No more friggin' excuses. That gas leak business that Earl in Marketing dreamed up to stall for another two weeks was a stretch, we expect more imagination than that.

The finish on the 5-spoke graphite portion is remarkably rough, not glossy at all. Also, there is a small radius connecting the faces of the five spokes to their sidewalls. Polishing is not going to be possible without leaving a weird transition to the paint at the sidewalls. IMO these would have to be machined to get a good sharp corner where the paint meets the machined faces, but then near the center cap where there is a radius down to the lug holes, you'd have another weird transition point. I don't think there is any good answer to what you're trying to do.

I could see someone taking a polisher and knocking the black off the center (high face) of the spokes to make a nice 2-tone wheel. How about Mike, it's not like you have anything better to do.

You got that right. I can only stare at this website for so long...

Seriously though, I wouldn't try it because of the radius at the inner edge of the spokes where it dives into the center cap area. It would look like crap with the polishing ending in some random area of the radius without a good mechanical stopping point that would be the same position on all five spokes.

though with a steady hand and Dremel I think you might surprise yourself. They are 'winter' wheels afterall. Perfection is overrated.

Hmm I'm terrible with stuff that has to look good LOL... no artistic ability whatsover. This would scare me because the changes would be pretty much permanent. I am curious to see how your hood project turns out though.

Mine finally arrived… damaged. It had a 1/4” ding in the paint on the driver’s side all the way to bare metal. I told the dealer no and will be reordering in a few weeks.
