All y'all acting like this is some 60's iron with a heavy ass clutch

The little bitch stock spring is so weak, they have to sell a vaguely stronger one to inflate little egos. My boots are heavier than your clutch, buddy :cwl:
LMFAO... damn straight with the above!

Drive a Classic 60's-70 Mustang with the "z-bar" linkage or a 79-93 Fox that was cable driven - drive them daily t-h-e-n complain about the oh whoa is us - with the S550 HYDRAULIC clutch... waaaaaaaahhhhhhh......

I've got 2 favorites. My '89 fox body at idle with an F cam and flowmasters, but at wide open the sound that the voodoo makes in my '17 GT350 is like no other....

There is understandably a lot of late model preference here, but I'm disappointed there isn't more old schooler's speaking up in this thread, and in my world Fox's don't count as "old school", those were still brand new cars when I was in college! LOL

My favorite sounding Mustang is hands down the 351 Cleveland. With 4V manifolds, factory duals and thrush turbo mufflers, there is nothing else that sounds as mean, or smooth at the same time when idling, and wakes the dead with joyous rumbles when you nail the gas!

I'd definitely say the Voodoo is the best. It has a snarl like no other engine out there. Sort of exotic sounding. Next, I'd say the Coyote, especially with a Borla or Corsa exhaust. Third, I'd got with the Terminator and that maniacal whine. After that, I really like the sound of the FP or Roush 427 I've seen in some restomods.

I really like the sound my 2020 GT500 makes however, I have to say my previous 2010 GT500 was slightly better as it had a lot of supercharger whine and the exhaust sounded very good as well.

I think the 5.0's even stock sound good as great, I was impressed with the stock sound of my 2019 PP2. One things Mustangs do well is sound amazing.

I really like the DOHC versions of the 4.6 and 5.4 V8's. The Australian market recieved a small run of the Mustang Cobra back in the early 2000's. And our Falcon's had DOHC 5.4's in them for a number of years. They were generally slower the LS powered Holden's but those 5.4's sounded awesome.

I also love the top end rush and beautiful induction note of the Coyote. Mine has a Borla Touring cat-back fitted, but any 2018+ with the active-exhaust sound amazing too.

added an x pipe to my 19, already has a roush axle back. definitely made a big difference for the better. i think i may have a new favorite. i know some here will say it's too loud or raspy, and that's fine, to each their own  i kind of wanted that sound, im used to hearing the other end of the spectrum, SBF 302 based with flowmasters. this is a nice change from that, and it really screams, the x pipe really brought it out a lot more.

now i just have to hear a voodoo at WOT, though maybe i shouldnt, then ill probably want to trade up 😬

The 2v 4.6 is the best sounding Mustang IMO. She may not be the fastest, but she makes an instantly recognizable sound that can be distinguished blocks away without fault.
my friends always made fun of me because i could tell the difference between a sbf 5.0 and 4.6 without seeing them. this was well before the coyote 5.0, so all the v8 mustangs around were sbfs or 4.6, usually sohc
