That's awesome to hear you really like the kit. I'm excited to get mine. ESS told me it would take a couple weeks to get everything put together to ship it, so I'm guessing I'll get it no later than last week of August.

As far as the gas mileage, I've been driving around mostly on e85 for two years, so anything above 11-16 mpg is going to be an improvement. Lol

I opted for the 115mm pulley which is 8.5psi by ESS's calculation at 7300rpm iirc...

You're tuned by someone local, correct? Do you mind me asking where you're targeting the shift points?

Also, did you handle the install yourself or pay someone to do it? It seems pretty straightforward. There's been a lot of good information passed around in this thread about installation modifications that are specific to the '18-up, so this thread has already been helpful.

I would definitely like to see your car in person, so honestly whenever is convenient for you. I have flexible work hours and can adjust them if necessary.
Hopefully it actually takes a couple weeks for you. Mine took almost six weeks....I think they were having supply chain issues then.

I originally got the kit with the 8.5 psi pulley but replaced that with the 9.5 psi pulley.
I'm tuned by Rob Shoemaker at PBD currently and my shift point is set at 7500 rpm.

I did the install myself and it was pretty straightforward....the instructions are not detailed though and some things were glossed over so you'll have to figure out one or two things as you go along. I did headers on jack stands and that was quite a bit more difficult than this

Okey dokes, I'll message you on here sometime next week and we'll try to set something up

I have done alot of work with BMR(Black Market Racing) as they are around the corner from the house. I agree they do great work. Their e54 tuning is based on the flex fuel station that I use for my daily so that's even more encouraging.
The 8.5 psi pulley is a flex fuel tune but the 11 psi pulley is a dedicated e54 tune. However I've had the e content as high as 72% and the port injectors were only at 30% duty cycle while the direct injection system held pressure no problem

Are you at any altitude
Yeah I was thinking the process shouldnt be that difficult if I had the MAF transfer tables. I decided to go with Wengerd Performance based on the positive feedback on here, plus he has some experience with the ESS kit so that's a plus. Was trying to stick with my SCT device but figured now is as good a time as any to switch to HPtuners / RTD.
Yeah, I'd be willing to work with another tuner, but honestly Lund has always taken care of me and I don't think they will have any problems tuning the kit. Iirc, I think ESS told me that Lund has tuned 2 ESS equipped cars that they're aware of. It shouldn't be that hard, set your fuel targets and put the proper thresholds in place. My understanding is 15* max cap on 93 and 20-21* on race gas. A proper fuel system and e85 would be absolutely perfect imo!

Yeah I'm sure your are in good hands with Lund. I was just trying to see what my SCT tuning options were (which are now fairly limited) which ruled out Lund, but ended up transferring to HPtuners / RTD anyways. Aside from exceptional tuning reviews for Wengerd, Daryle's reputation for quick communication pushed me in his direction. guy emails back almost immediately. I'm running just pump 93 for the rest of the season on low boost with FIC1000s / billet rails. My fuel hat assembly is on backorder for up to 8 weeks so I will likely switch back over to E85 next year. G2 kit arrived today so I'll get that installed this weekend. assembled the intercooler / wastegate and replaced the plugs today to save me a little time on the install.

Compared to an e85 A10 car and the supercharged A10 on 93, is it a night and day difference performance wise?

Trying to decide whether to go for the D3/12lb pulley (E85) or a JT Vortech kit from beefcake. On one hand I’d like to try something new but every kit/company has issues and I just don’t know what they are for this system. Pretty confident in Vortech since I ran them back in the 90’s/early 2000’s. Resale also has me concerned too if the ESS doesn’t work out for me. Price and availability of the ESS are attractive for sure.

Thank you sir!

Not below 50mph even in this Texas heat. I'm keeping traction control on for now and it just lights up and cuts power if you go more than half throttle in 1st or 2nd gear. 3rd gear hooks properly from about 40 - 50.
Will be getting Nitto R2s or MT ET Street Rs for the strip once I'm done with my tuning and dyno sessions
The Nitto R2's are actually a great traction tire that doesn't behave badly in wet weather. They do wear pretty quickly, but they definitely seem better than the MT ET Street SS's for favorable street characteristics. No drama on uneven asphalt either.

I just received my shipping notification yesterday. The kit will be here on Tuesday. As soon as it arrives, I'm going to inventory the pieces just to make sure everything is correct. Install to commence soon!

Take your time and enjoy it! Took me about 6-7 hours by myself. Even without instructions if you've done a blower install before you can mostly figure it out.

Had mine out to the track again today to test out the race fuel tune running Sunoco 260GT. The last track outing, my best was a 10.7@136 with a 1.7 60 ft in roughly 2700DA. Today the weather was brutal. DA was 3500 and humidity was over 90%. First pass I managed a [email protected] with a 1.7 60ft. 2nd run was a [email protected]. My best 60-130 on my dragy was a 6.24. Overall pretty happy. Should have some decent weather in a month or so, I'll head back then to see what it does.

Sounds like some good runs in some not great conditions. Interested to see what you can do with some Fall weather / better DA.
