I will be using Lund to tune mine, because they already tune my car. Realistically all they will need from a tuning perspective will primarily be the MAF transfer data, injector size, and whether you are going to use a BAP or not. Should be fairly straight forward like any other centrifugal set up.
Yeah I was thinking the process shouldnt be that difficult if I had the MAF transfer tables. I decided to go with Wengerd Performance based on the positive feedback on here, plus he has some experience with the ESS kit so that's a plus. Was trying to stick with my SCT device but figured now is as good a time as any to switch to HPtuners / RTD.

I'm down in Lake Jackson South of Pearland. I would really like to see your set up in person. I'm ready to pull the trigger on this, but would love to see it first hand before I do.
Oh and btw, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the G2 kit with the G3 intercooler. I bought Lu47's and a VMP BAP to go along with it. As soon as it arrives, gets installed and tuned, I'll update here.
Hey just seeing this. Won't have been available this weekend as I was installing a methanol kit on it. Great you went for it, you're gonna have a blast.
I see you went with Lund for tuning, I'm almost done with my PBD tune - just need to clean up some cold start flutter. Would be great to compare the power, drivability at some point

Thanks. Unless you're chasing 1000whp, I think the G2 will serve most enthusiasts well. If you were to run 12psi on full e85 you would likely make over 800whp depending on exhaust modifications.
I made 796 on the 11psi pulley with a resonator delete and e54 not e85 in the dead of arizona summer. With cooler temps to help with the heatsoak and not doing back to back pulls I think the g2 is capable of high 850s. The issue wasn't the boost it was the heat causing the computer to take timing away.

Where I got 6700 from is very subjective.

The g2 kit with g3 intercooler was around 5200 including tax. Lu47 injectors were 200. BAP I bought off this forum for 125. Hpt tuner device 300 with 2 credits. 900 for the tune since they could use my device instead of having to license it themselves. But yes that's $6700 for as near as makes no difference 800 whp. On a 15-17 it would be a bit different.

Curious who's tuning your car? I'm in AZ as well and both Lund and PBD wouldn't tune me on E54. Jon Jr. said our E54 is horrible. If I could in fact run E54 that would be amazing!

Thank you for the reply, I'm really excited about my purchase and can't wait to get it installed, tuned and ready to roll. I would still really like to see you car first hand. Are you happy with the kit?

Hey, did you pay less than $6500 for everything COMPLETE? Thanks for passing on the info

I have done alot of work with BMR(Black Market Racing) as they are around the corner from the house. I agree they do great work. Their e54 tuning is based on the flex fuel station that I use for my daily so that's even more encouraging.

Placed an order today with PBD to do a tune for Sunoco 260 GT race fuel. I can't get e85 around here so this is the next best option. I'll only use this tune at the drag strip due to the cost of the fuel. I've also updated my pulley to the 110mm (9.5psi) one. I've been running it for a month or so now on 93 with no issues. It will probably be a few weeks before i have a chance to get to the track with the race fuel tune. I'll post updates as I go.

You should be! Get everything installed and tuned properly and it'll be a blast.
I have no regrets at all and consensus seems to be the same for everyone else on this thread with the kit. Your gas mileage will take a hit but that's to be expected. I'm still able to get about 23 - 24 mpg highway driving at 80 with the A10 so I have no complaints.

I should be done completely with the car next week and if you can drive up to the Houston/Sugar Land area we can plan to meet up somewhere.
Right now I'm moving my meth injection nozzle to the charge pipe that feeds into the throttle body and then relocating my IAT sensor to the intake manifold so that the ECU sees the cooler intake temps during the methanol injection.

Did ESS give you an estimate on when to expect your kit? Also might have missed it but what pulley size did you go for?

That's awesome to hear you really like the kit. I'm excited to get mine. ESS told me it would take a couple weeks to get everything put together to ship it, so I'm guessing I'll get it no later than last week of August.

As far as the gas mileage, I've been driving around mostly on e85 for two years, so anything above 11-16 mpg is going to be an improvement. Lol

I opted for the 115mm pulley which is 8.5psi by ESS's calculation at 7300rpm iirc...

You're tuned by someone local, correct? Do you mind me asking where you're targeting the shift points?

Also, did you handle the install yourself or pay someone to do it? It seems pretty straightforward. There's been a lot of good information passed around in this thread about installation modifications that are specific to the '18-up, so this thread has already been helpful.

I would definitely like to see your car in person, so honestly whenever is convenient for you. I have flexible work hours and can adjust them if necessary.

I'm $4800 on the kit shipped, then $700 on the Lu47's and VMP BAP.

Assuming I do the install myself and just get it remote tuned by Lund for 93 octane and a race gas tune for probably Sunoco 260GT. Which according to my tuner is worth 70-80 whp, so add $500 for the tune and I'm all in for right at $6k not including some other odds and ends (aka spark plugs, cooler thermostat, race gas) etc.

I have a feeling that race gas is going to be like nitrous, shit's going to be expensive to go fast, so I'll probably be into a fuel system to run e85 at some point. Lol

Are you going to pulley down for the race gas tune or are you running the smaller pulley now on 93?

Going to get some data logs once I have a chance to load the tune and fuel. I got the tune this afternoon from PBD but it has been raining here so no chance to test yet. If the data logs look ok, I'll check with the tuner about going to the 105mm/11psi pulley on the race fuel. I think that will be as far as I will take it for now. Really like to get a 9 second pass this year with it.
