I dropped my 2017 Mustang V6 because a metallic noise was coming from rear driver side.
I received a message stating that a spline of one of the nuts in the half shaft was loose and total repair was 249 because it won’t be under warranty.
My car is being repaired at the moment(I’m at work) but looking at the Ford website I see that axle shafts falls under the powertrain warranty!
My car is under 50k miles but has aftermarket wheels, tires and springs.
I sent a message to the service center about the warranty but this was the reply
“We are not replacing parts if we did it may be, it is just labor time and tightening bolts and things like that. which would not be covered Mr. Lewis. You also have after market components which may void certain things if that makes sense but as far as what we are doing it is only labor time. which is that price i quoted “
I had my water pump replaced at this dealership and they honored the warranty.
Sounds reasonable?
