The other dealer who read me their letter said to verify the engineer number.

I am glad you got it straighten out, the following is for anyone else experiencing a problem getting the parts ordered.

Thanks to Tob (@Epiphany) here is the related recall letter. This is the latest and greatest, dated Nov 12, 2020. There is no mention of an inspection, just that the "Dealers must determine the correct service part number by VIN using the parts catalog."

Brake bracket replacement scheduled for Saturday, surprisingly enough the second replacement showed up in 10 days. Soon its done it goes into hibernation for the season.

After a long wait for parts, I got Loudmouth's camera and brake bracket replaced. It took Galpin 3 hours to do both (same appointment) and drove her like hell all the way home .

Starting to run out of patience here, Curtis. This is baloney for a safety recall. Glad you got LM's stuff taken care of. BTW, did you happen to get any EPROM flashes like the PCM and TCM updates?

My guy received the camera and bracket on 7 & 9 Dec respectively. Installed over the holidays — Piece of cake.

My brake recall was completed Thursday took less than a hour.

Thanks, guys..I'll be ringing up the joint first of the week. My camera seems OK but it'll be my luck to get the brake assembly replaced and two days later, the camera will friz out.

So, two weeks have passed since Curtis' post...has anyone managed to get one of these damn things installed? The SM at my store says he has heard nothing about the arrival of the part. I asked if he had seen one since the recall announcement and he said he had not.

I have contacted Service multiple times and no one has an answer.

Mine was installed 12/26.

Thanks, Mike. I had a feeling these have been getting installed for awhile now as the thread died out. I'll hound 'em again.
