Don't know about the socket, but are the new wheels made for a 60 degree conical lug nut? Many (most?) aftermarket wheels aren't.

So they put lugs on it, where the lug nut kinda of stepped down. but it wasn't seating right, pulled it out and it is beveled just like this. so this is the shape of the new lugs Discount tire put on, seems to work. I need to find the correct lugs if this shape isnt correct, but I had the wheels off earlier to examine and the lug holes on the rims, match these perfectly.

Test fitting of trunk "lip" spoiler. It looks pretty good to me. with trimming (and repair or replacement of the flawed portions) I think I can live with it.

I was completely satisfied with the one on my 2006 convertible, and just a little less so with this taller one, that might be seen as approaching "wickerbill" status. "Gurney flap" in my lexicon.

The flaws are a result of the surface layer or glaze pulling off with craft tape used to hold this rubber thing in place while measuring and evaluating its stance. I'm torn between leaving it full length or trimming it to trunk-lid width.

Any road, it'll pull off easily enough, if I don't like it, and cheap enough to throw away. Resisted the impulses to get available colors or carbon fiber versions.

I removed my spoiler today. It was only held on with 3M tape. But, with my physical disability, I did not get to install it properly. So, it was starting to lift off due to the tape losing adhesion. I spent over an hour outside in the 25F weather removing the tape. But, at least it helped my anxiety about it. I hope to get it installed properly by a shop. But, I am also considering just getting a drill mounted spoiler and have the shop do that.

Here is yesterday after getting my snow wheels and tires mounted. Just in time for the storm coming Saturday night.

Yesterday I participated in my first auto-x of 2020. Had a couple hiccups but by the end if the day I got it figured out and was putting down ok times.

Currently, im sitting on a plane waiting to go to Auto Club Speedway to coach a track day in Fontana.

I ripped out every interior piece of my trunk as I found water on both sides this week...

This last week has been a challenge. It's been raining pretty often and hard here in North FL.... until today - been nice and dry. Cleaned up and water tested both corners of the rear window and quarter rear windows... nothin'.... dry as a bone and no water intrusion.

The two fabric stickers covering the holes on each side closest to the tire were suspect. But the pooling was still happening even when the car sat during the rain and I put some electrical tape over the holes and made sure the tape adhered around them. So there's that... going to see if I can find some rubber plugs soon.

Not that I can recreate the leak on my own.... and i'm just not sure about the passenger side of the trunk, but during those rain bouts on the driver side have noticed where were water is dripping below the trunks drain channel hitting the inner fender... so i'm thinking third brake light... and i'm not ready to pull that. I guess I should contact the dealer about a replacement.

I just don't know.

I would get water pooling on the passenger side under the sub all the time. A dealer I took it to wanted to just drill a hole to drain it . Never figured out where the water was coming from before I sold it.

Try 2 at the sound tube delete. Finished in less than 5 min after deciding to ignore the nut on the firewall. If anyone is thinking about it just pull and twist, comes right out.
