Does look like a do-it-yourself job? Or something more complex, like dash removal?Yep, mine is polypropylene
Sorry, Im between adding a few xpel sheets. I think you could do it yourself. if you built a small platform so that you could lay at the equal height of the sill, it wouldn't be that bad.Does look like a do-it-yourself job? Or something more complex, like dash removal?
Back in the day, I owned ‘69 & ‘70 Mustangs and they were known for their clutch pedal bushings to go bad. Had to remove the dash and it was a real pain to change that bracket.
I remember the same thing happened to me on my last mustang, when I was putting a GT350 brake booster on my A6 car, after I upgraded to the GT350R front & rear brakes. This is at the plunger connection for the brake booster, correct? I ended up getting a new one as well. That blue pin is a tough removal. Have to place a small prying tool between the metal part and the blue plastic to get the metal pin out:

The blue bushing has barbs on it and I gave up trying to get it out and just broke it off:

My service guy says that a small socket can be pushed over those barbs to compress them. But I couldn’t make it work. So I just bought the whole set to replace.
This same part is used on all Ford vehicles for many years. My recent experience was fixing my son’s Expedition.
I believe the recall notice includes this part as well: 3M5Z-2L523-AA.
Yes. Connects pedal to brake master cylinder plunger.I remember the same thing happened to me on my last mustang, when I was putting a GT350 brake booster on my non A6 car, after I upgraded to the GT350R front & rear brakes. This is at the plunger connection for the brake booster, correct? I ended up getting a new one as well.
Yes, from my Expedition project. Same part and process.Got any more shots of the assembly broken down? Or are you saying the photos above are from the Expedition?
built between Mar 4th 2019 and Aug 13th 2020, automatic transmission, built at flat rock, etc.I just got off the phone with the parts manager that I spoke of. The issue was forwarded up to the rep and will be presented to Ford Performance. Everyone involved so far thinks that our cars were overlooked. One suggestion is that we technically don't have an automatic transmission, it is a dual clutch transmission and the criteria for recall was mustang, built between Mar 4th and Aug 13th, automatic transmission, built at flat rock, etc.
On a side note, a lot of people think our transmission is automatic. It is not. It is a manual transmission with electronic shift control.
The issue is being presented. As soon as I hear something, I will post it here.
Yes, but my point was that the automatic transmission criteria might be why were were overlooked. We have a DCT. We all think of it as an automatic, but it is not and that is the reason why my guy thinks we were not included. We will see.built between Mar 4th 2019 and Aug 13th 2020, automatic transmission, built at flat rock, etc.
