A crowd finder option would be nice - and useful too.

I think they could have headed off most of the complaints people have had about soft low end torque with a bit more displacement. With DOHC you wouldn't need as much displacement as Chevy's 6.2 or Dodge's 6.4, but I think somewhere in the 5.4L range with ~100mm bore and 87mm stroke would go a long way. You'd be able to trim 5 or 6 mm off of the connecting rod length and basically remain in place with the smaller 4.6L modular V8 for rod length to stroke (which isn't bad at 1.67:1 - the Coyote is not quite as good at ~1.62). That in turn could take a few mm off of the deck height (overall width and height). What kind of specs could we realistically see from an engine redesign? I've never heard the Coyote referred to as being "hamstrung". They're already making crazy power on stock motors.
Careful, I think you can lose your man card for saying any engine has enough power. You and I know "crazy" equals the least acceptable amount, but other readers might not. What kind of specs could we realistically see from an engine redesign? To the core question of this thread, electrification is something that I would NOT like to see . . . not that that should come as any surprise to anybodyThat all makes a lot of sense, but unfortunately unlikely to happen. We'll probably see electrification to "solve" the low end torque issue.

I completely forgot about the Focus. And only now, after looking it up, I was reminded of one of my favorite cars growing up...the Escort Cosworth RS. Why couldn't the I-4 Mustang get the RS branding? Or is the RS specific to cars they used in rally only?Unfortunately, SVO isn't an option as it's now in use by JLR. Besides, "Special Vehicle Operations" became "SVT / Special Vehicle Team" which became Ford Performance.
I do agree "Ecoboost" isn't the most glamorous name, but Ford were building the Ecoboost brand and having it in a Mustang probably makes those that have them in Fiestas and Focus feel "better" about the engine![]()
I have a 2020 with Recaro.I also wish the folding seat was automatic all the way forward and would return to the original location. My kid rarely rides in the mustang as it's a weekend car.. but I hate that my seat position is always changing.
