Great post! Reminds me of your posts in the GT350 section when you had one. Very informative/detailed info.

That's a good link, thanks for it.

That was an amazing write up. Love your attention to detail and your "detailing" skills. I noticed a box of Adams products in one of the pics. I've Ceramic coated three of my cars and love their products. The new CS3 spray even beats their current detail spray. Interested in your thoughts/usage of their products.
Color me a huge fan of their stuff. I was always a simple "wash and go" guy but have definitely become more interested in the latest cleaning and preservation technologies. I ceramic coated the wheels and brake calipers and am now a solid believer in it. I've spent a lot of time under the car and am looking forward to being on top!

I really liked my GT350, it was truly a great car that gave me nothing but pure joy. I look forward to digging deep into this one too and can't wait for some warmer weather to do it in!

Interesting, just noticed the sway bar numbers. Front is 0.5mm smaller than the FPP bar and rear CFTP is 0.4mm larger. Base rear bar seems to be a GT350R or Performance Level 2 bar.

Adam's products have not disappointed. I used their original ceramic. Did my 300 SRT8, Miata and wife's new Highlander -all with one bottle! I use their CS3 now to do glass and to brighten up the ceramic coating after a wash. Need to get my 03 Cobra out of storage and get it done soon. Wish I could use your tech skills and I'd help with coating!

Yah, Tob has started a fire in my but to get busy detailing. Got the Adams ceramic wheel kit on order, just need to get some time to start. Let's not forget one wheel well of suspension cleaning and protecting at a time as well.......

I mentioned that I was near finished but that I wanted to yank the calipers and rotors to get at the hubs. Corrosion appears to be rampant on these cars on untreated steel and bare aluminum surfaces. I have to say, the one thing I really like about this car is the electric parking brake. No more futzing with specialized tools to get the caliper off (like on the GT350) and this car has two rear calipers. There are two bolts per caliper and they come right off.

As above, I'll start with implosion of erosion...

I've never in my life sanded a rotor before. This car changed that.

Back to the hubs. I neutralized the corrosion then swiped them with WD40 and wiped dry.

On to the electric e-brake caliper - way cool. Brembo too. Once the bolts are out and you disconnect a small electrical connection the caliper comes right off. Really nice to not have to deal with hose connections or brake fluid here. This thing is a work of art!

Everything cleaned up, reassembly.

A very slick, and now clean, setup. Props to Ford for the rear caliper arrangement.

On to the next one...

Good move. That’s exactly what I am after from the car. I just don’t want to do the spring swap twice if/when Ford Performance releases some springs. Decisions decisions
Ok Terrance, as promised here are three photos I just took. Front CFTP springs have been on the car just about three weeks. As you can tell, the front sits slightly lower than the rear opposed to how they normally sit where the front is slightly higher.

Very nice Mark. You nailed the look and it'll be interesting to see mine on the ground with both the front and rear CFTP springs in place.

I love your dog man. He looks very loyal. And holy cow, that view! Freedom!

Mark, you nailed it. Precisely what I am after. Next up, four little pieces of cylindrical art

Five minutes after I finally lowered the car onto the ground after the spring install. We shall see if it settles at all.

And I had to share this one showing the rotors I dressed by hand and the ceramic coating I put on the wheels and brake calipers, all Adam's stuff.
