The stock shifter was (is) good, and the MGW is amazing. I wish I had driven one before purchasing, because it would have eliminated any doubt. I am a big fan. Lots of reviews on this forum, and most of it is not hype.Thanks for the note. I cancelled for Monday. I will talk to them. As I said car has 250 miles on it as I just got it. Head of service said they had never replaced a shifter before but would “figure it out “.
Is it worth me to install an after market shifter.
Much better feel, throw etc ??
I drove a few thousand miles with the stock unit buzzing and rattling. I did the shifter spring fix to quell the rattles but never was fully satisfied with the feel. The way I see it... there won't be many manual transmission cars left soon. Why not splurge where it counts?
