It’s amusing how many of the trolls come into threads for no other reason than to poke the bear, and are sometimes successful. Just like GM is sometimes successful in producing a pony car people actually want to buy. Equally amusing is the fact that after five model-years on the Alpha platform and offering versions of the SS and and ZL1 that are exceptional values for the performance that they deliver, sales of those vehicles in numbers that would support the continuation of the model have just not happened.
Much to the consternation of the GM faithful, the Camaro continues to play the same second-fiddle to the Mustang that it has since it's introduction for the '67 model year. They cannot fathom how buyers can overlook the performance metrics and choose a Mustang over the Camaro. They use those metrics like bludgeons, acting as if numbers alone should dictate the purchase of a particular car.
A little good-natured debate/dialogue is to be expected and even encouraged, but some people take it too far and fall into personal attacks when they can no longer make effective cases for their positions.
