I like to disassemble things.
You can say whatever you want,it still ran a 10.6 on factory tires.the cars legit. And that's not even the carbon fiber track pack which will be faster because its lighter.
Apparently the CFTP car is not the faster of the two on the drag strip in stock form.

Brandon: I didn't think I'd seen any clips of the same driver in both cars...have you?
No, but all test were done in base model and I believe Ford stated base is the faster of the two in the 1/4 mile. "Owens explained to us that the GT500 will essentially come in two flavors based on how you want to use it. The base-model GT500 will be the quickest in a straight line, while versions equipped with the "Carbon Fiber Handling Package" will be optimized for track duty. According to Owens, both models will be wickedly quick, but the downforce (and drag) from the Handling Package car's two-position rear wing might make it slightly slower in a straight line compared to the base model car."

The track pack isn't available to the public yet.wont be delivered till February or so
Are you sure about that? Seems to me more than a few Snack Pack cars have been delivered. And mine is SUPPOSED to be delivered mid-January.

I was talking about the Vegas event...I didn't see the same driver in both cars.

Something is definitely wrong when the public is getting their hands on the vehicles before the magazines are.

Brandon: I assumed Earl's numbers were for the forum member cars, not ALL the cars. Is that true, Earl, only one Snack Pack shipped period? That can't be.
Not sure.... It might be just the forum cars???

Makes sense the base car with softer springs and taller ride height will transfer more weight and do a little better in a straight line.

Those times were run in perfect weather conditions on a private track rental

10.30ET on stock tires is a lot to ask for summer weather (when most tracks.are open) and average track prep.I would think 11.30ET will be the norm for most 2020 ShelbyGt500 owners at their local tracks.
Just to be clear the weather conditions were mineshaft conditions with a private track rental.
All I am saying the Texas Motorplex is not your average track.Eddie Hill in 1988 broke the first five second barrier for the first time in drag racing history at that track.

Dont make things up.

Something is definitely right when the public gets their hands on them before magazines that are biased and have shitty tests
Its better that way. Its like the 2016 election.

Forums and mags tell everyone else they are going to win when lined up.

Reality, not so much lololol

Not enough times out there to even speculate what a "normal" or even "hero" run is yet, IMO. Nowhere near enough data points.

The 132 trap despite a shitty ET speaks volumes of what these things are capable of though.....

Dont quote me on it,that's what I've read and seen. The word is that it depends on weather, due to the tires. If its below freezing it ruins the cup2 tires so they cant leave them outside, so as long as the weather is good they will push out what they can.once it gets to cold they will pause until February or so. Like I said this is just what has been posted online.
