Saudi 9/11 hijackers were all "students" who overstayed visas. Additionally, to say that there is almost nobody from Saudi other than students is patently false.

Thats how I got the other numbers, why are we getting hung up on race now? I thought you weren't bringing race into this? Before you were attempting to bring religion into it until you realized that 2 of the countries that were on the ban aren't exactly high areas of muslim worship. Now you are convinced Republicans are racist because they don't have as many minorities in office. I wonder how many Catholics are there?

I did not bring religion into it at all. I asked about the ban for lack of a better term that was specific to Muslims. That is not bringing religion into it. If I commented on the actual religion be it good or bad that would be bringing religion into it. I did not do that. He singled out Muslims in his statement. Period!

There is likely logic to the list, but it does not correlate (well) with state sponsored terrorism nor with origins of non-state sponsored terrorists.

Saudi Arabia is not included in the travel ban, despite 15 of 19 9/11 hijackers being from Saudi.

Others were from Egypt, Lebanon, and UAE--also not included in the ban.

Thank you that was my point the ban did not correlate well with the worst threat that had occurred.

It's not really a ban, just further vetting of people coming form countries that sponsor terrorism. It' s kinda like calling child birth a tumor removal.

Possibly they use data from intelligence agencies monitoring terrorist activity. i am not privy to how the list was made, i am just arguing that it was not a ban of all muslims from entering the US. That is ridiculous and insulting.
