What was the rumored time for 0-100-0 for the GT500? This article says 10.8 for the vette.

> Severe understeer will help prevent the overeager owners from pulling a Mustang exit at their local cars and coffee

too funny.

Anybody see that the 3lt was 90k?!
We've kinda known that though? 3LT starts at $72, then add $7k for MR and Z51, it all starts adding up.

IDK. I think the 500 will be seen as more special than the 350.

The FPC is almost mythical, so that is cool. But at the end of the day, the 500 makes 230 more hp, has better braking and more robust suspension.

Plus that DCT turns the dial to 11.
Not sure on that first point, IMO the new GT500 is an evolution of the S197 version, improved all around on the newer (albeit hefty) chassis. But everybody else builds a supercharged halo car too, so meh (should have been turbo this time). The DCT is the icing on the cake, and there's no doubt it will be a great car, but....

The 350 has the vaunted FPC and a stick, both of which will probably disappear forever before you know it. That big power isn't everything, go back and see what the car journalists said back in 2013 - the Boss 302 was generally the overwhelming pick over the GT500 as I recall.

I guess we'll see how it all shakes out soon enough. As is said, it's a great time to be a car nut.

The fpc is cool but pale in comparison to the FI Predator.

The 500 is built to handle like no tomorrow - hardly an evolution of the s197 version.
The DCT ensures it can actually use its power effectively as well.

Ford has taken the mustang and actually fulfilled it’s potential to a large degree with the 500.

There are really only three things they could have done more:

1) twin turbos.
2) all wheel drive
3) further lightweighting

the 500 is everything the 350 wants to be when it grows up.

as far as the people who like a stick shift, they won’t like s as nothing with auto, so that doesn’t affect which car is actually more special.

the 350 is the hottest NA American Pony Car.
But anyone who drives the 500 and 350 back to back in search of the best performance will choose the 500.
What mee as led a car special is unique to each person of course. But Ford seems to have done a great job at ticking that box for the majority of people.
