It's my business car for OTR traveling, so whatever is the cheapest 87, and not too far off the Interstate. For example, I drove to Hickory, NC and back yesterday. 522 miles, 3 hours of meetings, and 10 hours in the car. I do not believe that kind of use requires 93 when 87 will do just fine.

Once I install the PP2 kit, it will have to be whatever is the cheapest 93, and not too far off the Interstate.

Most premium fuel has no more additives than regular fuel and is of no higher quality.

If you want better additives, only fuel up with stations that are Top Tier rated.
I'm from EU. Our premium fuel on good brand petrol stations is better quality as indicated by different independent investigations. We generally have "cheap" 95 with some additives and more expensive 98 with many additives. Thought is that if you want better fuel quality you get "free" octane as well. This way petrol stations don't need to have even more pumps. Generally there are 4 hoses (95, 98, Diesel, Diesel Premium) + one distributor for LPG. On some stations we have 100 octane fuel (no one really uses it).

I go by the owner's manual. It says the car was designed to run on 87. However, for best performance use 91. Where I am, it's either 87, 89, or 93. So I use 93.

I only use Shell gasoline. In my line of work, I've seen 100k+ mile engines that have run Shell their whole life. Extremely clean compared to other engines I have seen. But to each their own.

My wife's Camry gets Shell 87. Runs like a top.

I have run 93 since we purchased ours in March. Recently we switched to 87 due to increasing prices. Interestingly enough it runs smoother on 87. I don’t think it pulls as hard on top end with 87 but the rest of the time it runs fine. We rarely do WOT anymore since the “new” to us has worn off. Now it’s mainly a top down cruiser. Too much traffic here to really wind it out unless it’s a short burst getting up on the Interstate. Considering there is now a $0.50 price difference between 87 and 93 it runs good enough on BP 87.

I think Shell has the best gasoline as they have nitrogen based cleaners which is good for the engine.

Their top of the line Premium Shell V Nitro Plus seems to be the best gasoline.

For 2019 Mustang GT, I see that using premium gas gives the most fun to me.

What gas do you use and why?
Neither...midgrade lol

i get my gas at the 76 station and can only use 91 due to my stage 2 programming. 91 is the highest octane in Cali.

I run 94 in mine as it isn't much more cost wise than 91. I won't ever run less than 91 though just my personal preference. Cost wise premium it isn't an issue as the car is just for fun & I view fuel cost as sort of like beer money for enjoyment!

Too bad the roads around here aren't wide open anymore. Sometimes the $0.60 premium for getting 93 doesn't seem worth it when I rarely get over 4000 RPM. When the weather gets a bit colder I'll likely start running 87.

Is anyone else running leaded?
I'd be hard pressed to run leaded gas unless the engine was build before unleaded, and did not have proper valve guides and seats. Good riddance to the days of lead fouled plugs and valves.

Why? Is there enough of a cost difference to warrant it. Is there any difference in performance.
Inquiring minds need to know :)
Regular here can be 85 or 86, high altitude, so need to go one up to assure 87 or 88.
