Hey guys. So slowly gathering parts together for a whipple set up on my 2017 Automatic GT. Let me know if im missing anything or you have any other thoughts or advice. Goals are 700-750rwhp and mid to low 10s in the quarter mile on drag radials. Here is my list.

1. Whipple 2.9L Gen 2 Stage 2 kit(already purchased used of course)
2. 3.5 Griptech Pulley (planning to purchase) (the kit came with a 3.62 and 4.0 Pulley)
3. Sai Li return system to run E85
4. ID 1000's
5. Boundary OPGs/crank sprocket(Planning to Purchase)
6. Lund Ngauge and Lund Tune(I have the ngauge, will order tune when im closer)
7. Anything else needed to achieve my goals?

you will make more than 750 wheel on e85 with a 3.5 pulley id guess. Build list looks great to me, dont forget headers and no cats and if its a stick dont forget a clutch.

The Sai Li kit is great..had one....you will be getting close to its limits. Dont spend $$ twice. Go with at least a stage 2 fore to start.

He is correct on the fuel system. I had a Sai Li double pump system. It is great, but I started running out of fuel at 800rwhp on E85. I went to ID1300 injectors and fore triple pump system, problem forever solved, lol

Id like to keep the fuel system nice and simple as well as stay in a respectable and safer 700-750 range. Maybe I should run the 3.62 pulley?

If you want 750 to the wheels for sure LTs and a free flowing exhaust.... #YDBT.... Some good drag radials will be a must. I had to get them for my setup, stage 2 whipple 2016 Auto with only 650 whp to get any traction on the street. Hoping you have the basic upgrades in your IRS as well. Good luck with the build. Since you got your kit used you may want to check the voltage on your TB after you get it all together. Mine somehow got out of range and started doing weird things. Whipple has all the info on how to check and set etc...

Suspension is all currently stock, but will be getting addressed with some BMR stuff at some point. I will likely end up getting a race star set up for track use with front skinnies and ET STreet Rs. Then keep my 2019 PP1 wheel set up for the street. I didnt want to move into the long tube world yet. Im interested to see how it does running on stock manifolds.

Sounds like a good plan. Enjoy the build!!

We make a triple setup that would give you more than enough fuel to hit those numbers, like stated before, on Sai's double setup you are getting close to maxing it out on E85 and if you ever plan on going for a little bit more power, that won't be a good scenario. Let us know if you'd like to see what we can get our kit to you for.

Don't waste your money on suspension. You will be fine on stock suspension and drag radials. You might want to think about a circle d 258 2c torque converter and transmission upgrades at some point. The clutches, intermediate shaft and planet are likely to go after 800rwhp. I would stick with the 3.6 pulley. I would forgo the sai li system because everyone that buys it upgrades shortly after. Fore fuel systems are really nice.

You definitely want to do some work to the suspension. There’s no point in having all that power if you can’t put it down and do it in a controllable way. Also definitely do half shafts or they will break on you drag radials are known to break half shafts on much lower horsepower cars so I wouldn’t give yours very long before they go out.
