Looks like if your taller than 42" the back seat areas are impossible to deal with - am I wrong?

I’m 6’1. My seat position means no one could EVER ride behind me. I seriously have never had anyone ride in the back since I’ve owned a Mustang. We use the back seat for extra luggage space on trips....that’s all it’s good for.

sooo do real people ride in the back seat?
Yes. My gf at 5’2” and her son at about 5’7”. But I wouldn’t have an adult ride back there for very long. They’re literally sitting right under the glass. I tell them “don’t look up”.

Yeah, my use case: family of 3, one child 11, so that's mostly my backseat occupant - but it's nice, because we'll do something like go to Universal, and I'll take a drive up to Ace Cafe for a few hours for a cruise-in, or drive down to New Smyrna to hit up Clancy's cruise around the area - with a 2-seater, that wouldn't happen.

My car is also a convertible, so the rear seat access and space - at least with the top down (98% of the time I drive it) - is a good bit more open :)

Now with the A10, the wifey can also use it, pick up the little G and her two best friends and have a blast driving up to Osprey Tacos!

Yes, my wife had to ride in the back for a short drive when I had to pickup my father in law. He is 6’ 2” and I’m 6’ 0”. I took a picture but she made me delete it. In fear for my life, I did. It wasn’t pretty.

I won't own a coupe of any kind. The backseat is much too difficult to access. If it has to have a roof, i want 4 doors. I bought a Mustang convertible because it has a backseat big enough for my grand kids. If it's too cold to have the top down, I'm driving my BMW. I would have bought a Vette or saved my pennies for an R8 Spyder if I didn't want a back seat.

It's great for the one time a year extra people might want to ride in it instead of them driving their more practical cars. I've had 5 adults in mine before, I don't know how comfortable the 3 in the backseat actually were, but they said it wasn't terrible...

Kids - yes. I am 5'10" and can't sit straight (tried once to see).
If I had managed to try it, I'd still be there.

I agree. One of the best characteristics of a convertible is the back seat is easily accessible with the top down. It’s still not very useful for people, however, it provides excellent storage especially for bulky items that won’t fit in the trunk.
