I had the same type shifting with my 2018 GT, 10 speed. It was really unsettling. By researching relevant threads on this forum, I found the solution was to use Forscan to clear out my Mustang’s adaptive memory. This process works great on my pony. Search the forums, learn to use a Forscan and...
That’s exactly how I get my drain plug to unlock - with a small flathead screwdriver to gently lift the locking tab. I have now changed oil in my Coyote 4 times with no problems with the plastic drain plug, I did go with a new plug at the last change just to be conservative. One tip: when the...
No I didn’t. I agree the ECM/PCM calculations tend to be optimistic. However, even 27 mpg is pretty good for a 420 ft-lb, 460-Hp engine. I was surprised the 93 octane seemed to improve the fuel economy about 10% over 87. However, I realize a sample of one is not real proof.
There is a good YouTube video on replacing the oil pump gears on a 2018 Mustang GT (as I recall) by VMP Performance. Search YouTube and you should find it.
Also, how did you go about purchasing the Helm service manual? I looked into purchasing one myself and ended up at a Ford Service website...
I averaged 29.9 mpg on a recent 210 mile trip on I-20 while driving at 73 mph. I was using 93 octane Shell. My 2018 A10 GT has about 20k miles on it. This is the best mpg I gotten.
I agree. One of the best characteristics of a convertible is the back seat is easily accessible with the top down. It’s still not very useful for people, however, it provides excellent storage especially for bulky items that won’t fit in the trunk.
I am seriously considering self-installing this supercharger in my 2018 Mustang GT with A10, pp1 and magneride. I am retired, so I have the time. I am reasonably mechanically inclined and have a good set of tools including the torque wrenches I need. My Mustang already has 20k miles, so losing...
I solved this problem on my 2018 GT vert. The only problem is I am old and don’t recall exactly what I did.
However, I opened the hood and carefully examined the routing of the windshield washer hose. The struts pinch the hose on the passenger’s side at the strut anchor located on the fender...
Sorry I have not replied. I just now noticed your post.
I resolved by rough 3-1 downshifts by resetting the transmission’s adaptive memory tables. I’ve had the dealer do this twice with good results both times. However, I have now learned to use Forscan (watch the videos on YouTube and search...
Now that I have resolved the rough 3-1 downshifts I had with my 2018 GT Premium convertible with pp1 and A10, I love driving my Mustang. And I drive it a good bit as I have almost 18k miles on it.
My Mustang is a 2018 GT with the 10r80 trans. My car has about 18k miles on it, and has a history of very rough 3-1 downshifts. I have taken it to several dealers and none have offered a fix. HOWEVER, on 2 occasions, at my request, the dealer has erased the KAM memory (adaptive tables) and both...
I love my 2018 Mustang GT premium conv., PP1, A10, 401A, Magneride, etc. However, the A10 is spoiling my fun. The A10 shifts fine except for the 3-1 downshift (its very clunky) and it sometimes jerks ahead furiously when shifting to drive from park. This jerking scares my wife and she won't...
I agree! One of the best side effects of the convertible top is to be able to easily and precisely place stuff in the back seat by letting the tow down, easily put stuff in the back seat, the let the top back up. Its much easier than trying to force your back seat stuff though by messing with...
I love my 2018 Mustang GT A10, however, I too have the harsh downshifts. Mine are from 3-1 (btw, the dash digital display will show 3rd gear a few seconds after the trans. has downshifted to 1st). My only relief was a few months ago when my dealer reset (erased) the KAM (Keep Alive Memory). It...
