Jaime: I stand corrected on my guess about the new seats. Went back to the BIG guide and re-read the seat section. The ref to "4-way" pretty much has to mean they have vertical adjustments. For Recaro I'd say, it's about time.
Yes, the Recaro seats have a vertical adjustment. Its a crank up/down handle on the left side of the seat.
I just got back from a local dealer who has a 2019 GT350 which I just sat in. I think I must be the target sized human they build these seats for because I fit perfectly! Forward adjustment is more than ample, height adjustment is way more than I need. Comfort is pretty amazing actually, I loved them. I am ecstatic because I think the exterior of this car is pretty amazing and now, with the Recaro seats, the interior "wow" will match the exteriors. So, my first GT500 and my first Recaros.

I think it was meant to be. I am working this morning and I coincidentally got to the dealer based upon my schedule and I no sooner got to the car as they were coming to get it because it sold this weekend. Had I been 10 minutes later, I wouldn't have been able to sit in it. Perfect timing and perfect outcome, if you ask me. I already called my salesman and made the change! I'm a happy camper right now.

Thanks for al your help guys,

Jaime

P,
You are correct I mis understand the CSM plaque there will not be one my fault.

I was referring to chassis number and VIN, it has been my understanding that chassis numbers and VINs are not the same anymore. It appears to hold true as build dates show lower VINs being scheduled after higher ones. So my VIN of 618 does not necessarily equal that my car was the 618th built. If you know different please correct me.
Yes, the only year that the last 3 numbers of the VIN and chassis numbers were the same was during the 2015MY and there were only 137 GT350/R's built for that MY.

Typically the Ford family, Ford execs and VIP's are allocated the early builds which equates to very early chassis build numbers for them.

You seem to have a relatively low VIN number but what is your build date as that is the key in order to receive a low chassis build number?

Is a low vin and chassis # a desirable thing?

FINALLY, I can sleep again...

Went to the dealer today with the intention of getting all the numbers in writing, minus warranty, tax, etc. And, I wanted some form of contract that the car with my VIN is in fact mine and will not be sold out from under me. I emailed the appropriate folks in advance and all were in agreement. So, out I went.

The first thing I learn is that (of course, duh,) there is no invoice yet and because of that, they couldn't do a final contract. However, the allocation fella told me the SM was going to gin up a Purchase Order with my VIN, get all the John Hancocks, and email it to me.

Talk about a weight off your chest cuz after reading all these sad tales about allocations going hither and yon, I was desperately worried that something like that would happen with this small store way down in Texas. But all of them kept assuring me I have no worries although they DID go for the $5k ADM which I had originally agreed to almost two years ago when I bought the truck.

I was told that neither the owner nor the GM were happy about my $5k deal but when they heard the story, they did the right thing. Hat's off to them for that since their "standard" ADM is $10k.

Funny thing is, my original order that was cancelled for lack of a golden ticket, was still in the system and some fella from up North of me called the store and wanted one. He didn't care about base or carbon, he just wanted one. When told it'll be $TEN k over MSRP, he said, no problem. So, they have now sold a base for more ADM than my 2-seater. :-)

Sorry for all the text, folks, I'm finally firmly seated in 3A on Cloud Nine Air Lines. ;-)

This will make you happy, VIN 0001 is not scheduled until October.

Update:
Estimated Dealer Delivery ‎10‎/‎3‎/‎2019
In body shop 8/27/2019.

FP misread 10/3 as scheduled day not the dealer delivery date.

I guess it all depends on who all you talk to but for me to have an early VIN and chassis number is desirable and cool.

That's cool information and would be interested as to what chassis number this car will be assigned sometime in October?

Congrats!

T: Thanks, much. I don't remember being this happy, maybe my first job out of Uncle Sam's Navy was equal but I do feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. I'll post the PO when I get it, hopefully, manyana.

Regarding the VINs and build dates, me thinks those with painted stripes are gonna be in that bunch as it has to take time for them to get the vehicle to Penske and for them to stripe and re-clear the car, assuming that's what they're doing. Then, it's gotta get back for shipping. Just my two cents.

You were smart in getting it all in writing. I've seen stories like yours go bad, but generally, if You have any ammo, you are somewhat safe. You have an early build on a very valuable car, congrats!

My brother made his 2020 GT500 order in July, he got the VIN a few days later and was told the car would be delivered in December/January. When I saw this I really got excited, VIN: 1FA6P8SJ8L5500074 can't wait.

Not true.
FP says Scheduled Day is 10/3, but they also said the car was in production and in the body shop.
Ford Vehicle Order Tracking says:
Estimated Dealer Delivery ‎10‎/‎3‎/‎2019

If it is in the body shop, it will probably be completed by the week of 9/2/2019. They may have done this to make sure the chassis number would be 00001. This last sentence is only a guess on my part.
