People, this Ford we are talking about. They will make as many CFTP/Painted Stripes Golden Ticket blah blah blah cars as they possibly can. The 1250 number is just an estimate, that's it. If the car is selling and they can source all the parts and can schedule the paint time, they will make as many as possible.
You sir are 1,000% wrong.

Eh, Im not to sure of that Chuck.... The 1250 number is an estimation. They usually wind up making more (like with R production) and the allocations are either given out on a lottery or case by case basis.

I am fairly certain the estimated production is exactly that, an estimate. Scheduling and material sourcing is a big part of the puzzle.

Nope, Base with Recaros. Will add everything else. Another reason I ordered like this was to hopefully get one of the first ones and it looked like it paid off :)
Congrats!

Tom; Without giving out any names I can tell you that I have worked my way up the food chain quite far and Iam not saying that 1,250 is the exact final final number but the OP said "They will make as many CFTP/Painted Stripes Golden Ticket blah blah blah cars as they possibly can" AND THAT IS NOT A CORRECT OR EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE STATEMENT. Oooops, sorry for the caps as I know you hate them. Sorry about that. But I have talked to some people in Very High Places and they are not going to make as many as they can sell or things like that. As a matter of "fact" it is extremely difficult to get either option if you don't have the G.T.

Maybe that's what you were told, but the 500 is an all they can manufacture kind of car limited by materials and scheduling. The first production year is usually somewhat limited due to the late model year, but I can assure you that moving forward in the upcoming model years, that they will make as many as they can that materials and scheduling will allow. This is not a limited production car.

Oh, and I am good at keeping secrets, PM me.

Hi Chuck. I know you are very invested in securing the painted OTT stripes on your order.
During your discussions with the folks up the chain, did you happen to confirm whether or not that option is available on the base variant?

I’d be interested to hear that as well. I was told no to the painted stripe on my base since my dealer didn’t have a golden ticket. I have yet to hear of anyone ordering just the painted stripe without the CFTP

Ok. Yes, that is my understanding as well. I wasn't sure if you resolved that yet. Thanks and all the best with your build.

The reason your dealer said no to the painted stripe was because he didn't have a "Golden Ticket", not because the car was a base model.

So I just placed an order with the dealer I have been working with for the past couple years. My contact (owner of the dealer) has assured me that the CFTP order that I placed will be built. However, he did not see “golden ticket” anywhere attached to the allocation he is filling for my order. The Ford representative he contacted told me he could get the CFTP so that’s what he told me.

If in fact he doesn’t have a golden ticket allocation, how fast can I expect to be alerted that my order will not be filled? He has a refundable deposit that I would appreciate having back in my account if the car will not be built.

If his regional rep said it is good for a CFTP then I’d say you have a golden ticket.

I believe that is where the confusion looms. My understanding is that a Golden Ticket is a CFTP with or without painted stripes.

The painted OTT stripe is not a stand alone option, it must be selected along with the allocated Golden Ticket CFTP vehicle. If the purchaser of the CFTP car passes on the painted stripes, that option does not get re-circulated. It is all or nothing.

Has anyone that is purchasing a base variant that ordered the OTT painted stripe been assigned a VIN and car scheduled?

I just ended up switching dealers because the one I was dealing with would not commit to a price on the car. They were nice enough, just were not interested in agreeing on a price, nor would they enter into a purchase and sales. Funny story, Rob Ninkovich from the NE Patriots was next in line behind me (if I didn't take the car) so that was going to be a cool story. I quickly came to the conclusion they were probably going to drop an insanely high ADM last minute and I would have to pony up the cash or be shit outta luck because they knew Nink would have bought it. This is just my assumption, but I bet it's accurate.

The dealer I signed with today was incredible. Extremely nice and knew exactly what's going on. Pretty geeky but I even got to click the "order" button to submit my car lol. They spoke to the regional sales rep today and confirmed they were not getting painted stripes as an order-able option, and for that matter, neither was the first dealer. They are getting two allocations, not the supposed three to get the "golden ticket".

Anyway, my car is officially agreed upon and ordered and I finally feel like I am actually getting one. My question to you all is, do you think being almost a month later will I have to wait longer to get the car?

The Painted OTT Racing Stripes are a separate option (47W) and can be ordered if your dealer has a Golden Ticket allocation, there is no CFTP requirement. The Golden Ticket Allocation can be used for the CFTP (67J) option OR the Painted OTT Racing Stripe (47W) option OR both options. If you don't believe me, call Ford Performance 800-367-3788 option 1, and ask them. Make sure you come back and let me know what they told you.

I believe you are confusing the fact that there is no such thing as a designated 2020 GT500 CFTP model. There can be a GT500 (950A) with the CFTP option (67J), if your dealer has the proper allocation, but this doesn't make it a special model, it still just a GT500 (950A) with a very expensive option. There is only one GT500, and it can be ordered with different options. It just so happens that two of the available options (67J & 47W) require a special allocation.
