Across most product lines we see the V8s are being dropped for turbo V6s or even 4s. There's no point in complaining, this is just the way it is going. So...
an EB Mustang with 200 HP of electric motor could be very quick. The motor could be part of the flywheel to make packaging easier. The whole electric drive does not need to run for long, after 10 seconds of full throttle we are going to jail anyway. The battery pack could be 200 (HP) * 746 (watts) * 0.167 (hours) for a total of 25 kWh, not a big battery at all but it still provides a full minute of 200 HP boost. By comparison Tesla's model 3 battery is about 78 kWh.
We get over 500 HP with 400 lb*ft of torque at 0 rpm with the other 300 all in by 2500 rpm, much more and much earlier than a Coyote.
