Sadly I was REALLY pumped to get a BULLITT, but after seeing all these Tick issues I'm starting to lean more to a GT350 or, sadly, even a Camaro SS 1LE. Ford is teh only American company I've ever owned and was REALLY hopping to keep it that way, but sadly I really feel like I have to look around now.
Well, I hate to put a sour note on your search, but I would highly suggest you join those other forums before buying a Camaro or a GT350. The GT350 definitely has a lot of the identical BBQ ticking issues. The Camaro has also had a pretty notable rash of ticking and rattle noises as well. Currently, the Camaro has had some serious problems with bad lifters needing replacement, and the design has not yet been refined to solve the problems. All these muscle cars have had enough issues to make me buy the car I like to drive the most. And last but not least, the Challenger. It's a cool car, but the interior is just ugly imo, and the car suffers from something no suspension can fix...it drives like an M1 Abrams. It's literally a tank with the agility of a Saturn V rocket. Powerful, but only fun to drive in a straight line.

All this led me back to buying the Mustang. Considering I care nothing for bells and whistles, a base model stick shift GT is more than I need to enjoy driving. If I want a better stereo down the road, I'll install that myself.

Curious.... why didn’t you like the interior? I owned a 15 Challenger R/T plus and then a Challenger Scat pack. I thought that the interior was pretty nice. I trade the SP for my mustang for better handling and the
V-8 that does not need to go to 4 cylinders to improve MPG.
I was in a 2016 and it was 15k miles old - that probably had something to do with it. Our 17 Pacifica Limited is very nice, and looking at some of the better optioned '18 Chargers with the 392 Scat Pack, those also look fair. I guess when you had your heart set on Mustang flip switches, the comparison isn't fair.

You are sure it was the BBQ tick? Was it regular or irregular?

LOL... Way over blown... Buy a camaro.
Ironic name. I literally saw a Zinc 03 termi vert wreck in the rain Friday. So sad a pristine zink termi is one of my dream cars.

I listened hard not to hear it, but it was for sure the irregular, typewriter tick. I had spent the night before and morning of memorizing the sound from videos on this forum.

I feel like the only people typing stuff like that are the ones that currently own ticking motors... like you're too scared to face this?

This pains me to type this, but honestly considering an '18 Charger S/T Scat Pack now... searching their forums the only issues that seem to be prevalent are on older models. Nothing at all like the first 6 pages of this forum folder...

Hopefully Ford will improve for 2020.

Have you been in the issues section!
It’s like telling a drug addicted person that the needle hanging out of their arm might be a warning sign...
