I just for the life of me can not understand how ford have not acknowledged such a widely reported issue! I’m in the UK but no there are many others making this noise! Even the new one the dealership have and a new Bullitt they have had in!
Thing is I think us Brits don’t know mustangs like you Americans and many aren’t complaining as they think it’s normal, we’ve only had the mustang without import over here for a few years now, I truly believe that is why the uk are not making much fuss. I genuinely believe all these models do it but at different severities, they all must if new replaced engines are doing it and the 2019! Problem I have is even if I prove from an independent garage that there is damage etc Ford will NOT do a thing and probably void my warranty there and then for accessing the engine!
Something has to come from this. I’m trying to return my car that I’ve had a few days, a dream car wasted. Wouldn’t have a problem if ford explained the noise and could gaurentee no problems etc.

It would cost Ford a lot of money if they admitted there is a problem, it's easier for them to come up with a revised solution and just replace engines on a case to case basis. Maybe only 30% of Mustang owners are aware of the noise so Ford saves money on the ignorance of the other 70 %.

Quite possibly but we don’t even have many if any documented engine replacements over here to compare to like there in the US :-(

Run that thing through the gears at redline for a while I'm sure the issue will present itself, and it will bring awareness that a problem exists.

Yeh you’re probably right but I just can’t be bothered making more of a headache just to prove a point. I’d rather get rid of it somehow. And that’s gonna be heartbreaking. Such a shame

Comparing the issue with other cars on the lot does you no good when they share the same problems, it's just that they aren't put into service yet to actually have the issues arise.

If you can do a buy back through Ford and not lose money get rid of it, however if you plan on trading it or selling you will take a 5k hit minimum. In that case why not spend 7 or 8k and put a good motor into a dream car that you can reliably keep.

Have any of these "built" motors been known to develop a rattle?

I want to just reiterate that my car, which is the topic of this thread, does NOT have the tick, nor is it getting swapped because of the "rattle." I don't want to get ahead of ourselves here. There's problems, no doubt, but there's a near equal amount of people saying they have a noiseless engine here.

My Canadian built '18 Coyote runs as sweet as a nut.
Thank you to those girls at the Essex engine plant on 15th December 2017, you built me a good one.
That was the time frame of the " Bad batch of motors " lol.

There being a bad batch was already refuted with the 2019s having issues.
Sweet as a nut my colonial fellow, sweet as a nut.
My nuts are salty -_-

Point standing, though. I really do think this is a matter of poor assembly than poor design. If there is a flaw in the design, it's that it needs to be made much more precise than Ford's assembly process can handle. We 're nearing super car levels of performance here. It's a far cry from the days of old when the most Ford Mustangs put out was 215 HP at the crank.

The plot thickens! Short block and associated parts arrived so work finally began. However, soon after, I got a call saying the tech found damage to the cam journals. Apparently the scoring was so bad your finger would catch. At 1060 miles... so a long block is now on the way.
