All of the "problems" I had with my install were self induced and I eventually resolved them all. Definitely worth the $380 with lockouts on my procharged setup.

Currently have my cam timing dialed in damn good this sucker pulls to 7761 with no signs of letting off lol my rev limit is at 7800 I need to raise it that’s too close for comfort lol. They are not bad to tune.

Nah Im putting a CJ on and am running some logs for AED tonight so I can hopefully get this CJ on this week plus itll be E85 flex fuel tune so I cant wait!!!

I was just curious cost on the 18 mani since alot of people seem to struggle to get it working right despite all the hype and whatever it ends up amounting to cost wise.
Shaun (AED) has my 18 manifold , FF tune running E85 driving like stock-no issues..I was even impressed with the base tune and the way it drove

I wanted a cj mani myself but I didn’t want to cut the hood or lower the engine lol.
Why not? If you cut the hood, you can add black weather stripping and make the cut look clean.

If you decide to lower the motor, you can definitely do this install with a couple of friends!

Send it.

Finally got a few good pulls in with this manifold.

Pulls insanely hard over 6k and you can feel that it doesn't let up. On my stock manifold I couldnt really feel the flatline, but I can certainly feel the "lack of flatline" with this manifold. Pulls to 7800 strong.

I feel like I do notice a little less in the lower end for sure. Not that it really matters because the car gets up and moving fast in the upper RPMs, but I do notice the loss, especially compared to the F150 manifold that I had on for a short time.

I've been having intermittent warm start issues ever since the mani install though which is strange. Only thing I can think of is something with the IMRC lockout.

And my stock 17 manny pulls like a freight train to 7500 rpm. It ain't the manny that makes the 18+ quick. Or did you guys ignore the MT82 test? Lol.

It may feel like it pulls to 7500, my stock manifold did as well. But once you put it on a dyno you'll see that it flatlines or drops. I couldn't feel that with my stock manifold but I can feel that the power keeps building with the 18 for sure.

Stock 17 manny 115 mph in the 1/4 with just a 93 tune and CAI shifting at 7500 vs 113ish mph shifting at 7000 same manny sings the song.

Really can't link off to SVT Performance...

You can go there and find a thread actually under the 11-14 section.

And what does this all explain? Shit.. What's the tunes on both before/after? Lockouts on one but not the other? Along with many other factors. :brokenheart:

It isn’t a crap shoot at all. I also have auto, 3.15 gears, E85 Rob Shoemaker tune, PMAS, 47lb injectors and mine pulls much harder than same mods with stock intake. No dyno but on stock intake mine shifted into 3rd at about 70-75mph and barked the tires and now with 18 IM it shifts into 3rd at 85mph and barks tires. No loss down low locked out according to the butt dyno. Shifts at 7600 vs 7300.

To make your own lockouts, the IMRC shaft is about 5/16” diameter. When you make the hole 5/16” will be snug and may need wollered out, 3/8” is too big. Then match the small hole to the screw. The two holes need to be about 1-7/8” apart. Slot the small screw hole so you can press the IMRC’s fully open when you tighten the screw.
