I haven't been on the site for a while but have loved my Mustang for 5.5 years now and built my car based on guidance from people here. This car has performed rock solid with no issues. I am...
I've had a Stage 2 P1SC1 for over a year now without any issues. Since the weather cooled down I've been driving with the windows down and noticed a whine that I never noticed before. It sounds like a non-electric rotational whine and I only hear it on cold starts and while driving at 1400-1600...
I use USAA and called them to inquire about this once I decided to go with a supercharger. They told me that their policies (or at least mine, state dependent) would cover up to $5000 on any modifications to include the supercharger.
I have these as well and they are awesome. I bought them for a total of $150 from some random tool website a couple years ago. Thought I made a mistake after I ordered because looking around made the deal too good to be true. A week later they showed up.
Found the site...looks like they are...
All of the "problems" I had with my install were self induced and I eventually resolved them all. Definitely worth the $380 with lockouts on my procharged setup.
I took a look later last night and saw that I somehow managed to unplug an electrical connection on the back of the passenger side head. The p1289 code cleared once I plugged it back in.
I went back and looked at the imrc electrical connectors aND saw that I had somehow managed to unplug the connector that goes into the back side of the passenger side head. Plugged it in and the p1289 went away. Very much relieve.
I went back to take a look at it and saw that I had unplugged it and bundled with the other imrc electrical connections I am no longer using. Plugged it back in and the p1289 code disappeared. Thanks!
Did the install today and got the following CELs: P1289 Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor Circuit High (what I am confused by) and p2008, p2011, p2014, and p2019. I haven't done the tune yet so I'm hoping the p20XXs are taken care of then but what could be causing the p1289.
Thought I got everything hooked up. Fired it up and got the following codes, p1289, p2008, p2011, p2014, p2019. I haven't yet uploaded a tune so I think the 2008, 2011, 2014, and 2019 at to be expected with the lockputs, but why would I get the p1289?
"Completed" the install today. I use quotes because I am still unsure I have the hose routing correct. I mostly followed the video linked above but also looked at the Lund install guide. They seem to do it differently which contributed to the confusion. Also, while not are great, neither the...
I'm going to give it a go. Also, I forgot to mention that I have a procharger. Anything else I should know about the install with the procharger? Thanks for the help.
How much should I expect to pay for a shop to install this for me? I'm having them swap my 3.73 out and figured I might as well have them do it. Is this an easy install? I'm a novice.
I'm running SW with cats but you guys are making me paranoid, so I'm looking at options for coverting to catless. I don't want to drop a lot of money on this. Could I pull the cats off and remove the inner material and reinstall the cat pipe without any issues?
