That is fine. Just tells the computer it can take over shifting when it wants to.Thanks for the quick replies- what about under WOT from S to D to turn it from paddles (keeping MPH) to auto (D)
That's interesting. My car requires me to press down on the button to go from D to S and back. :shrug:No problem at all!!
You don't even have to push the button to change from D to S & S to D that's alone tell you it's ok.
I am doing it regularly!
I have no issues leaving my foot on the gas. Your not putting it into reverse. All you are doing is telling the computer to change the throttle response and shift strategy. Doesn't hurt it at all.I have no knowledge on this subject, but I'd assume it is okay to switch from D to S to D while moving, but completely off the throttle.
FYI you can go from manual in S back to automatic in S by holding the upshift paddle for a couple of seconds. Also if you ever have long downgrades where you would like some engine braking but prefer to stay in D you can paddle downshift in D and it will hold the lower gear as long as you don't touch the gas pedal. That is fine. Just tells the computer it can take over shifting when it wants to.
It is always nice to come across a thread, where you wanted to ask a question, but didn't.
Thanks for posting, and thanks for the responses, too.
PS: What is WOT?
