Completed my custom rear diffuser&modified bumper project. 4hrs of blood sweat&cussing plus $60 for the part&zinc plated installation hardware later. It looks killer imo:hail:

Fyi anyone removing a 2018 rear bumper? It's not quite the same as the 2015-17 model's. Ford added a tricky 7mm long threaded screw to the corner taillight area on each side to hold the bumper in place. Getting anything in there to loosen it due to space&the angle it sits at is near impossible:tsk:

The 18 seems so much wider&meaner lookin:cheers:
I will be transferring the wing, blackout panel, F14's over to the new car. Grill's on backorder, but placed, and other goodies on the way as well.

I am not in love with the front, as I really think the 15-17' front end is better looking.

Are you actually switching the pieces over or just going to do the whole trunk lid? Seems like the trunk lid would be the easier route unless it has some sort of damage.

Wheelskins leather wrap on the steering wheel. First time doing it and I had a steep learning curve, so tomorrow I'll undo a lot of it and do it over to make it straight. Feels good though, and it will look good when I fix it.

Congrats, Beautiful Car by the way, but I concor with the front end facia, I much prefer the 15 -17 to, i find it looks much more agressive.
Looking forward to seeing your change out completed.

Funny, I find the 18 looks a bit more aggressive. It has a bit of modern stealth fighter jet look with the harder angles.

Could it just be the lower stance on your older car? I'm guessing you had the suspension dropped.

Nice! I like that look as well. Great job. How’d you attach the faux gas cap?
Thanks. It came with 3M tape covering the back, so attaching it was super easy once I measured the panel to get it centered properly.

That is one, but I like the heavy look of the 15-17' front end. That being said, the 10spd,/3.55 combo is a beast stock performance wise....and why I made the change.

When I got my 2018, I have been thinking the same thing that it seems like the body is actually, physically wider at the front and rear. I’m also gauging this on the fact that when I pulled my prior 2016 into my garage, I had plenty of side to side clearance at the garage door opening. When I pulled my 2018 into the garage the first time, I thought to myself that it seems so much wider and my side to side clearance was actually reduced.

That picture posted, it surely makes it look like the 2018 is wider too.

Does anyone know the actual factory compared to the 2018’s?

I think the 2018 IS actually wider, because I know my garage door opening didn’t shrink.... HAHA...

Well put with the more stealth fighter look and harder angles, that's probably why I have a hard time with the front end. It's the bottom facia that I find I can't get my head around over the 15 -17. Interesting how we all have our different perspective and preferances.
