I don't think they had or used base/clear type paint on Mustangs in 1967/68

I still think Ford BLEW IT by not doing the announcement at the Silicone Valley Auto Show in San Jose last weekend, where the original Bullitt cars were built.

While that is undoubtedly true this paint job was applied in 2017, not in 1967. So isn't it more likely they are using a modern paint system?

Because Spinel Green made them ill.



Highland Green is my favorite shade of green though. Absolutely love it.

Neh why would Ford have a tuning shop repaint a car when they can build one to spec in their own factory? And even if so that shop would have had to sign a non disclosure agreement the size of a phone book.

They likely already have some mods and find it cheaper to just repaint then trade in on a car that at the time was just a rumor.
